Heh, exactly... As soon as I get in a group I figure out my buff cycle that I know I'll be going through for the next two hours or so... and it seems that the buffs are expected, because inevitably someone will ask, "Hey do you have breeze yet?" or "Don't enchanters get haste?" So yea, it's incredibly annoying even if it isn't game breaking or anything like that. I still have yet to see a convincing reason as to why these buffs are set up like this.

![]() I haven't had anyone ask for Haste yet... heck, I haven't had anyone notice it when I do put it on them.

![]() Complain about buffs is no use. It just gives idea for SOE nerf . I believe a big nerf is coming soon. Spell change is patch : We found that we have some wrong setting in illusionist spells. Here is the change and they work correctly now. 1. Power regen spell is group only. It's no longer cast in raid group. 2. Power regen spell cast range is now shorter as same as haste spell for illusionist. 3. We found the recast time on haste and power regen is wrong. Recast time is 180seconds after buff faded now. 4. Mez spells' is too longer. its no challange for group with illusionist. So we reduce the timer and will be offen early worn off. Have fun now. 5. We cancel all illusion spells becase all illusionist complain they are useless.

If a buff is not really useful so you don't really want to cast it, then who cares how long it lasts.A power regen buff is really useful so you really most of the time want to cast it on everyone. And even while everyone is at full power you still want to keep casting it on everyone because sometimes suddenly everyone needs it badly and you can never know in advance when that situation will pop out of the closet - if you didn't keep it up in advance you feel like you were the cause for the wipe.So the current design forces us to recast 6 breezes every 3 minutes (plus haste etc. if you consider those really usefull...). There is no choice or skill involved, it's just a mindless chores. If we are to be hindered by game design from constantly buffing power regen, then why (unsuccessfully) try this by making it a mindless chore?I hope there will eventually be a change to this buffing design in order to exchange the chore against skill and choices, as advertised.

If my group has a pretty safe camping spot, is a good group, and all we're doing is sitting and grinding... then all I really do is sit there and buff, and occasionally nuke/dot/power-drain. We grind faster and I don't really care.If my group isn't doing this, however, I only put power regens on the healer(s). Then after a few fights it's quite obvious who goes through power quickly, and I keep it on them too. On longer fights I stop doing damage altogether, and just keep the breeze up on everybody so we don't all die (also keeping an eye out for needed mezzes.)I opted for Fozzin's Propitious Visions, which is like having an adept II breeze (it says this in your trainig selection screen.) It also lasts about four minutes (+/- some seconds) which is a huge help when it comes to full 'breeze' rotations. With a good tank I rarely have to worry about aggro from buffing, and I'm not necessarily buffing all the time anyways... I'll always keep breeze on the healers, but I only put it on the mad power-users during the fight. I rarely have a problem with this, especially if I just wait for the tank to get aggro first. *shrugs*-Surianka, 34 Illusionist
