i've recently dinged lvl65 and gotten Fusion..
on a rare occasion it wil launch, meaning that when i cast it, 80% of the times it says 'No Targets In Range'...
I'm 3 inches away from mob when i'm casting it, so i couldn't be closer...
On a very rare occasion it does nuke, it hardly does AE like the subscription says...
it says 60° cone in front of the wizard, but i've tried casting it at the back of the mob, in front, sideways... seems extremely hard to position myself, or the spell has a problem... i asked 2 more wizards and they said having the same problems...
anyone have more info on this?
positioning, buf info perhaps?
thx

I havent noticed any problems with it, it can take time to get used to. If you are too close to the mobs it will say no targets in range, so dont stand right on top of them.

as english isn't my first language, the kind of strange destription - 60 ° cone in front of the wizard - does sound somewhat strange to me...
do i have to squeeze myself into a geometrical shape to cast it? or catapult myself off of some tankers bp and summersalt into hypertention and cast?
ok slight exaggeration there, but the 'cone' has me puzzled really...

mobs hit boxes are very small, most positional scouts can attest to that,

in order to solve your problem make sure you are attacking the mob (turn on mele) it will auto face the mob so that fusion never misses as long as you are within 5 m range.  Once you get used to how you have to face and what not you dont have to push mele anymore to line up the strike.

Just get in front of the damage numbers and cast it. Try to get at an angle where the other mob(s) are in alignment with the damage numbers. This helps when you are fighting large mobs like dragons. Aim for the numbers basically.

i find the best thing to do is have a ruler and protractor handy, and when it comes time to fusion.. you bust them out, measure < 5 meter but > 0 meter from the mob (find the conversion on the ruler) then put the protractor up to the screen and position the desired mobs to be dead within the 60 degree cone, and nuke.. good luck SMILEY

I have a macro that start meleing and then cast fusion. Then I only have to move close to mob or tank, and start macro. Works well. After that, you'll be able to add freehand or (and) catalist !

For the most part I have had very few issues with Fusion.  On the rare occasion, I have noticed problems with the following...1.  If there is a vertical difference between myself and the mobs, I will get the "No targets in range" message.  For example if I'm fighting on an incline, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.2.  If the mob is very close and takes a big swing at me just as Fusion casts, I will get the "No targets in range" message.  This happened a couple nights ago, I don't really understand why, but it looked as though the mob's hitbox may have actually been either on me or behind me for a split second as the mob took the swing.  Probably just sh*tty timing, but nonetheless, I got the message.I have found on several mobs that there is a sweet spot, just beyond their melee range and under 5m, that I can hit them with Fusion without being hit.  Doesn't work on all mobs, but it works on some.
