This post is in the context of high-end raid mobs.Icy Wind (48.6), Piercing Icicles (40), Icy Coil (29). All 3 are our elemental debuff dots (with Icy Wind being in the AE line).I am having issues with these spells not stacking/not sticking to raid mobs. I am unable to determine at this point what spells (of other classes) could be causing stacking issues. When these spells don't land, I can barely land any other spell, be it fire, ice, or magic based.Scenario 1: The dot/debuff lands but IMMEDIATELY goes away.In this scenario, the dot/debuff lands and its icon appears in the Maintained Spell Window, but it immediately disappears. The dot doesn't tick its damage, of course, but more importantly, the elemental debuff is gone.Is there a hard limit to the number of spell effects that can be placed on a mob? Obviously during a raid debuffs, dots, whatever are flying like crazy. When I can't land any of my elemental debuffs as a wizard (and make them stick) my resists are seriously ridiculous.Scenario 2: The spell lands and sticks but is gone after a single tick or so.What could be causing this? -Another debuff landing by another character that overwrites it. -The mob dispells the debuff. -Anything else?If it lands and sticks, then obviously the spell wasn't resisted. Are resists to dots checked at each tick and removed if one of those ticks is resisted? If it lands and sticks, and a spell of another character is overwriting these, then it needs to be fixed. Even if the overwriting spell is an elemental debuff, it can't be better than ours, because the resist rates skyrocket when I don't have my debuffs on mobs. When I can't get any of these debuffs on a raid mob, there's practically no point to my casting other spells.Just last night, I was having these issues with the following mobs:-Ar'ticae, the Frost Maiden-Rognog the Angler-King ZalakThe separate, consolidated thread about resists is at the following link:http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=spellart&message.id=30085-rastaoun50 wizAscendance - www.ascendanceguild.comNeriak Server

No one else is experiencing this?  It's really making resist rates ridiculous...

I experience this regularly on:

King Drayek
Ragnog the Angler
Arch Lich Uludan
The Kra'Thuk
Alangria
King Zalak
several Drakota...

basically any mob where I can't land these debuffs resists like crazy.

Just a thought, but perhaps the mob is casting 'cure arcane' on itself?

I noticed long ago that the more powerful a mob was the faster my DoT/Debuff fell away.

For a green conning mob the DoT/Debuff would disappear as the timer wore off.

For yellow and orange conning mobs the DoT/Debuff would disappear sometimes as early as 15 seconds before the timer wore off, and this is on non-casting, just your basic dumb animal, mobs.

It could be, as the previous poster said, that they are cure-arcaning themselves.

Or it could be that they are so much higher a level than the spells you are using that it simply doesn't last.

I've never known anyone to overwrite my DoT/Debuffs save a higher level Wizard.

Yeah noticed it as well, it's very annoying.
