I tried posting in the EoF forum about this...I've only had people make dumb responses...mainly stupid really...every tank responded..."but you can heal"......sigh.

While I commend your spirit and zeal in helping the paladin community, as I did that of Phov and many others, I do have one question that begs being asked: What do you feel will be the difference in what has been posted for the last 6 months-to-date (which I am of the opinion developers gather around to laugh at while having their morning coffee at the office... for certainly they have seen what has been said and not cared, as a matter of company policy, to respond to) and what can be provided through the use of the /feedback option that will make the developement team suddenly change policy and decide to respond? Note: while there is some small quip in my question, it is directed towards the developers and not yourself... my question as put to you is sincere.

![]() Well to answer your question i want to for a lack of a better word annoy the devs to death several hundren feedbacks at the same time become encombering and they are forced to read atleast some of them, and as said i dont really expect it to work but i do hope the devs realize that a force of players are truley unhappy and that they might take it into consideration

P.S. This applies to any posters with similar drivel about we can heal so that is justification to ignore bad aa's, buggy spells and missing skills/gear. But wait folks a dev finally tossed on the test boards a fix to the hooluk hat being level 67 after close to 9 months of being level 60.... |

Bottom line...we can TANK or HEAL...its almost impossible to do BOTH effectively at the same time due to long casting times and our ability to be interupted AS A TANK so easily. Being a summoner he has no freakin clue. |

Hey, I have a lvl 44 conjuror I've played longer than you've played a paladin. Does this mean I have sufficient knowledge of the class to go and tell all the conjurors on their boards that they're all wrong and X, Y, and Z does NOT need any adjustment/fixing? I think not. ~Sir Hawke Holyblayde, Hero of Maj'Dul Message Edited by Wulfborne on 11-08-2006 01:12 PM Message Edited by Wulfborne on 11-08-2006 01:12 PM |

![]() I like numbers, here we go if we say mob x does 2000dps (parse on Tarinax 2200ish give or take).... I know not alot but hey... given that it takes around 30seconds to land any where decent calcuable stats in terms of heals we run the following... 2000*30 = 60,000 given that fighter y mitigates 15% better than a paladin 9000 damage is saved, for 0pwr and 0effort. In the same time, and not doing a lot else currently I can off load 4master 1 heals averaging 970hp a pop, and two master 1 wards 1332 a pop giving a grand total 6480 damage recovered. However this was done not in combat ( a pure test I wanted to see how many i could get off in 30secs) and I wasn't using other CA's/Spells which could delay recast and certainly NOT counting interupts for a cost of 962pwr At 100-1000dps ala grouping level you would wager no one can tell the difference between mit and heals, heals probably would come out on top. Note the disparity would increase with mob dps.... Eg, 5000dps (hey its number) 15% more mitigation stops 22500damage, while paladin heal has remained static. Basically put healing does not scale with dps done, mitigation does. Infact the disparity only increases the higher the dps dealt. So unless gods start pulling our holy [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn]'s out of the fire based on the greater the effort required, mitigation and healing will never be balanced, one scales the other doesn't Random 2cp's for you all to munch on, feel free to flame my math as you wish...
