Ive been looking for a good UI setup for my SK, I just cant seem to find one. Any successful SKs out there with a good UI? Looking for a clean setup (Much as I enjoy the UI's that leave me 1/16th of the screen to actually play in), organized, and effective. SS would be nice. And is it possible to get the UI files (As in, window placement, windows open, etc) from other people? I find it a pain to set them up.

![]() personally i use thorUI, good utility and functionality, and its main selling point for me is that it shrinks things down.
it comes with some default UI layouts to use, i make my own, but i think they are perfectly useable, even for someone as fussy as me |

I'm at work or I would link a pic of mine. I use the profitui, i just modified the standard setup of 1280x1024 that they give you to suit my needs. check out www.eq2interface.com and look for the profitui reborn under the complete sets area.

Guess I'm old school. In WoW I used UI interfaces, but in EQ2 haven't found a reason. I play at 1280x1024 and lovin it with default UI. Mind you I have all my hot bars, windows and settings EXACTLY how I like em. :smileywink:

![]() heh I still use the default UI also, in windowed mode, with the black space at the top and the bottom. I put 4 hotbars on the bottom part, and my grp and self health bars on the top. I tried ExtremeUI once, but uninstalled it about 5 minutes after installing it. Default FTW.

I don't know that as an SK we "require" a custom UI, but the two I like are profitUI and fetish. they tend to give me some extra screen space and handy little buttons for things.

I use the default UI for the most part. The only thing I added was an expanded EXP bar that shows all the forms of EXP - Combat, Tradeskill, AA, and Guild. It also has Earth and Game time tacked on to it. I also use an expanded compass with the /loc function permantly showing, making it easier for me to navigate. I have an expanded player window that shows me all my vital stats in a nice condensed location. Lastly I have an enhanced target window that simply allows me to see the percentages of my targets health and power. Of course I also have the map files with all the information you could ever hope to use. Other than those it is all default with 6 banks of hotkeys in the letter box area. I have two chat boxes, one for all the actual chat and the other for all the system info like combat damage and error messages. I tried a couple of the packaged UIs like Extreme but I just couldn't get used to them, and I personally think they add more for looks than anything else. There was nothing so special about them that made me "have to have them" as it were. So if you have a few things you want to enhance then I suggest just going to EQ2Interface.com and looking through the individual items and changing what needs to be changed, and not the whole interface. P.S. - I also have 2 other addons simply for reducing the size of my hotbars and inventory bags, but they don't do anything other than saving space.

![]() I use the Undead-gothic theme on eq2interface.com. The main reason I like it is the target+my gauges+implied target window. Once you pull the giant honkin skulls off that window, you're in heaven.

![]() im happy with semi transparent for the most part, although i do wish i could make the UI less intrusive, but it gives me eye strain if i fade windows too much, and i dont think i could live with needing to mouse over them or whatever. with my scouts i do have track really faded and with no background or boarder, so i can always be checking for nearby named to assault without loosing half my screen. but i needed a huge change from the default UI, as i really hate it... i'd love to know what design principles it follows... seriously, other than being simple, it has very little in its favour.

![]() Fetish has good utility but the look is [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn]... I hate those Knight rider style gauges... David Hasselhoff would cry if you made him play EQ2 with that. And every time he cries, the hair on his chest gets a little shinier. You don't want a bunch of folk in California blinded by the reflection, do you?
