Good place to solo for the SK

Heya all,

I have not see a Thread of this Nature yet. So i thought i might start one. Where have you found a nice spot to Solo mobs for XP. Please include Zone, Mob and your level at the time of you soloing.

Level 11 - 14 / 15 Shin'Rees North of the Freeport docks, past the priates and close to WC. I could get singles and XP was good. Drops were Vendor trash but good cash.

level 15 - 17 Commonlands - mainly grped most of the time in WC and solo'ed Orc's .

Level 17 - 20 Commonlands - Zev tower spawns ( lost souls ) pulled to the hill near the tower, also started FG key

level 20 - 22 FG and AQ's - Grouped maily due not being able to Solo very well in FG

Level 22 - 24 - Nek Forest - Cadavers near Nek Zone in and grped as well and AQ

Level 24 - 25 Nek forest - Solo'ed Skeeles at N'Mars / also went to TS and solo'ed undead settlers and crabs near beach as well as grpage and AQ

Level 25 - 26 - TS - solo'ed the skellies near Varsoon and grouped

I hope the thread can continue, it would be nice to see what others are soloing, what mobs and where they are ect etc etc ect.

Level 17-20: monitors and vulritches. I think they give out the best xp by far of any mobs in CL.

why would someone one star you for trying to start a helpful post? i just dont understand that kinda stuff.

all of my solo spots have been the ones you listed above and i just now got 26, hopefully some more info will come in.

At 26 with I guess full vitality:

I went to EL and started killing level 31 turtles. I havent tried a 32 yet, but I would hit yellow health, and half mana to kill one red turtle. Gained me almost 1% xp...maybe more.

I read the patch notes on the 26th and logged on yesterday and went near Varsoon and solo'ed a few Skellies. It seems that the "increase" for solo xp is either not working or it is not much of an "increase". Light blue mobs - could not see any difference. Dark blue mobs - seems to be the same as before patch. Yellow Mobs - seems to be the same as before patch on 26th.

Maybe it is just me and i am hunting the wrong mobs, has anybody else seen a diffrence in the solo xp ?.

EL turtles are good starting around 28ish. However, you may want to wait until 30. Not because they're too hard, but because if you do city writs from 30-34... you will be killing nothing but beetles, fish, turtles, badgers, lashers for status.So you might not want to start early on those.

Level 40 - Blightrats in RV are soloable. (the lvl 38++ ones) They take a bit of power, but they're doable. (Doesn't mean you won't run every once in a while if they get off a lucky barrage or two) Obviously the young blight rats & the dogs are doable.Don't try nymphs..same level but the little wenches heal ;x

Lvl 30 - 34. Doing writs and killing turtles, beetles, seaside goblins and ferals.

Occasional quest scroll drop from mobs gives decent xp too upoon completion.

items drop from treasure around 40-70S plus doing the quest by dock which get's 10S every completion + extra xp.

35 - 37. Soloing hounds and blight rats in RV. Money not much to get now cept rare treasure box drop which have a armour seelable for around 2G

But it gets bored... alays get LFG tag up and ready for a party anytime ehehe

Another good area I found was on the Nek beach at lvl 20/21 killing crabs. Xp isn't bad, and they drop shields that sell between 12 and 18 silver, depending on where you sell at.

I'm actually plannin on grindin there until they are gray just to earn some extra cash.

Just thought I'd mention, if your killing those crabs, that you can get status points as well. The crabs are a seafares writ in south freeport. I believe it's titled "The Chitinous Defenders". You can get it lvl 20-24 if i remember correctly.
