Tainted Caress?

As the title say, but iw ant to know, what does this skill actually do. Ive been using it for the last level, and still dont see what it does in battle, can someone explain?

24 - Tainted Caress : Curses enemy, chance anyone hitting it steals part of its soul
26 - Tainted Sacrament : Summons shade to fight for you briefly. Requires tainted soul

The description reads like this

"Sends a deathly essence to cage your target. Sometimes a fragment of its soul is drawn to anyone that damages it."

Essentially it gives you a needed componant. To allow you to cast our " Pet " It will also give other members in the group them as well....so ask them to check thier bags and fork em over!

btw...the pet isnt what you think it is powerwise...I use it mostly for kicks,

Boy does it suck that you have to beg the group for the essence back. It should go right into the casters inventory...not anyone who gets lucky in the group. Its rediculous.

You still get the same amount of essence you normally would, you can simply also get extra essence from group members if they'll give it to you.Quit crying, or at least go play a ranger if you feel the need to keep it up.

You can sell the components for like 30 copper, so this is a very slow way of picking up some gear repair cash. %_%
