![]() Shouldn't we be killing Gnome children and Wood elves instead of skeletons?

The level 10 class quest was dissapointing in that regards. I wanted the option to slay every last one of them in that warehouse (where you follow the 2 NPCs that are thinking of defecting from FP to Qeynos). I was still full of bloodlust after killing the first 3 defectors. The level 6 citizenship quest was amusing though... wonder what would've happened if I had shown mercy on that gnomish inventor?

![]() Actually in Nek you can get Fay Hunter title from killing the fairies there. I agree though Evil in this game resembles real life while Good = Disneyland. I played Qeynos in beta to 15 to see what the crusader was like there. After running around to tell the guards what a great job they were doing and how much I appreciated their efforts I was almost Ill. Back to freeport and sucker punching bartenders for me! :p

![]() My wife thought I was playing my evil toon when I started slaying all the cute furry animals in Oakmyst Forest (Qeynos). You're right though, I don't feel quite so "evil" killing scorpions, orcs, and skeletons around Freeport. I did get a little evil tinge slaying the Guttersnipes .... All vagrants must die! ![]() Maybe they meant Qeynos is good and Freeport is evil to mean the following: Qeynos has cute snuggly creatures like wolves, bears, deer, and other helpless animals you'd see in Bambi. This got a little irritating killing all these deer by L20, so I started a freeporter... Freeport has ugly, mean creatures like orcs, skeletons, zombies, and all those other evil things. Maybe they meant the zones are evil and good. Isn't evil supposed to fight good, not fight more evil? And good respectively? Maybe I missed the point of the game...

Don't forget that evil permeates the land around it, so cute and fuzzy critters like Bambi won't survive in a place like the commonlands where we have komodo dragons roaming the plains. We've got lions and hyeneas and vipers. There are a few flocks of Mith Deer in the commonlands. That's about the cutest thing we have on the Freeport side.

It is strange that in Qeynos you fight bears, wolves, deer, beetles, fairies, and humanoids like brigands. You have to travel a ways out to get to dogs (gnolls) and finally undead. Freeport is the exact opposite. You kil orcs, skels, undead, scorps and other nasty things near the town and have to travel father away to kill the "good guys."Hrmm... so who is really good and who is really evil? The guy killing the cuddly teddy bear or the guy killing the undead skeleton with a big farking sword?

In Freeport we're doing a sort of darwinian selection process to raise an army of Orcs that can eventually storm the gates of Qeynos for us.Roleplay wise, you could say that the Qeynos folks are practicing animal husbandry. Us Freeport folks are more concerned with killing traitors and other pests that seem to be drawn by the power of Lucan D'Lere.

I let him go and still got the quest completion anyway. I sure hope that doesn't come back to haunt me at level 50 or something.... |

Want to feel more evil? Go to Crossroads, speak to the guard by the north (i believe) bridge. He'll give a task to Cure Safiya from her madness. The end result of the quest is certainly evil-gratifying. |

Heh, try betraying to Freeport from Qeynos. You'll feel plenty evil when you're laying some smack down on Granny Gnome in the crossroads, or robbing some guy's engagement ring he's planning on using to propose to his girlfriend with. You inkies and trolls think you're evil, try being an evil woodie--You gotta work double hard to pull you're weight in our city

![]() I feel the same way as Takoda did with the class quests at level 10. I have a warrior in both cities and I liked the Freeport quests better. Kicking the bartender in the groin was just plain evil. Qeynos feels just too disneylandish. I think the only reason I keep my warrior there is because my girlfriend and I like to play together and she likes being good. Freeport may be the evil city but from my experience so far the majority of the citizens are not necessarily evil....they are just oppressed by the Overlord and his minions. **Dont read this if you dont want shadowknight quest info** For the Shadowknight quest I had to "persuade" some deserters to stay and being nice about it was not an option. True I did not kill them, but I basically told them to obey or die. So I think Freeport is evil to a degree, but its not a mindless evil that is taking over the planet through the genocide of every living being until only the charred skeletal landscape and festering carcases's of the enemy is all that remains. What fun would that be.

![]() Id jus tlike armor color... I hate the way all armor comes in one shade, shadowknight looks just like a palidin. Eq should follow fable, anyone whos played that they have armor in shades, for exmaple. They would have chainmail, in normal coloring.. then bright chainmail for that good guy feel, and dark chainmail for that badguy feel, all same stats just different shades. Id liek to see that.

![]() I love the way my Ogre looks, no way he could be anything but evil, but their should be good vanguard(silver) and evil vanguard(black) now that would evil me up some more

I imagine at some point they'll add colored armor into the crafting recipes... just a question of how big a priority it is for them. (Sending /feedback might bump it up the list a bit if lots of folks request it.) So far, I'm happier to have content that works, servers that are stable to worry too much about armor color (although I complain about it as much as anyone). Must be a smooth launch that my biggest complaint is that I can't color my armor (grin).
