After reading this I would like to urge someone to make a public channel. The two out there seem very dead, and I feel its time a new "official" one should be made. I would also like to urge everyone to join it. The other type of channel will most likely continue, and will remain private, but I hope that those bruisers also join this new one(that someone better make!). I would do it but im done with making channels for a while.

I would also like to point out that many classes have similar private channels like this, although they seem to keep em a lot more secretive. If all the channels were revealed a lot of disrespect would be directed towards the high end raiders/players, not like they dont get it anyways though lol. Hell theres even a high end raiding guild channel with officers/leaders only that ive heard about while in malice(Bashm and Apoc would sometimes talk about it). Should all these leaders and officers of high end guilds be hated because they want to have a channel like that, although they achieve and work much more than anyone else in the game? I understand this is a bit different though, it is, but when your in high end guilds you just appreciate channels like it, theyre a lot different than public ones, and usually more peaceful.

I do feel it would be wrong to have only this channel(high end, better geared etc.), but it seems theres been no effort to make a public one by anyone. Like I said, the two out there usually seem dead, a new one needs to be made. I feel some of the bruisers in the private channel should also communicate with others in this new channel though.

If this additional public channel is made, and these players in the private channel join it. I feel a lot more respect will be given to those that are in the private channel. Continue it, but give others a tip or two every once in a while. :smileyhappy:

As for this public channel, someone needs to post a new official one. Make it and im in, remember just ONE public channel that all can enjoy. Try to get the post stickied to the front bruiser forum page so it never floats away. I feel the original channels may have floated away, resulting in the inactivity.

Im sorry that I did not urge this before, I thought the original public bruiser channels creator would get mad if I said to drop it, and make a new one.

I think the fuss that these proposed channels have caused overlooks one thing - Bruisers don't talk much. I don't want to gossip away with other Bruisers about how my new pants look or whatever. If Bruisers talk at all they should limit themselves to certain conversation templates:

Bruiser conversation template [1]

Bruiser: What the f*ck are you looking at? Whack

Bruiser conversation template [2]

Bruiser: Lend us some platinum will yer, mate? Whack

Bruiser conversation template [3]

Bruiser: Need a tank,eh? Well tank this, pal...Whack, Thud, Splinter, Tear-'Em-A-New-One etc. etc.

Bruiser conversation template [4]

Paladin: You're nothing but a common oaf, sir! I cannot allow language like that in front of these fine ladies and I will...

Anna, the channels and the several people in the channels (atleast in the prvt one) - we have much better conversations than who got what uber gear today, who is more godly than who. Its definetly not about gossiping about pants, rice-hats, gi's or whatever the case may be.I myself will be joining this public-channel (But the private channel will remain open).Depending on how much the chat flys by will determine whether I stay in the channel at important-play times.Thanks Lizardling. (And - Lizardling is correct, there are a few WW channels shared by leaders of some of the guilds where they speak of strategy and such for mobs).

I really enjoy hitting the forums because I may be able to learn something that I did not know. EQ2 forums as a whole pretty much suck compared to EQ1. There was some awesome forums for all classes out there with great walk throughs, equip lists dps charts...If you could think of it, someone probably made a web page for it.

For most classes that I played (I was in a top raiding guild as well) there was a huge feeling of respect across different servers with regard to your class. While these boards are for the most part dead in comparrison, you do come across decent threads.

Upon opening this one, I was like [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] is this? Doesn't ignore work for chatrooms? I guess I dont get it. Kind of dont even care but this thread is very g.a.y to say the least. Please excuse me, my time being forward deployed in the military does not allow me to be uber like I was in EQ1 with several characters....

I must go level now because I am only level 59.

Funny definition of best, seeing as raiding is really little more than repeititon with only slight variation to account for the variables.

I'd easily consider myself one of the best brusiers around - and yes I'll duel anytime, anyplace - but I don't raid. Raiding to me is akin to watching paint dry as the fun factor goes.

I'm generally always the MT in any group I'm in regardless if there are zerks, sks, guards, etc. because daddy takes care of business...and he does it well.

Col, I appreciate what you do for bruisers around here, but I think you'd do far better to - not to mention, be a whole lot less divisive - by inviting people to the channel who are around that contribute and are good people. I'd really like to hang out with my fellow bruisers on a global channel and talk shop, but not if it's some juvenile [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn]-measuring contest about how "leet" everyone is.

Its used for discussing raids etc, so we only want to limit the channel to specific Bruisers who are dedicated hardcore raiders.Their is a new world-wide channel for people who are interested in hanging out with the Bruisers on this forum.

Ive been following this thread for a while now....and basically it comes down to ppl just [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn]ing and moaning cuz they dont get to talk to the Raiding bruisers, fact is....95% if not all of the ppl in Phay's channel are also in the WW channel, so what exactly is the issue. There is a channel where raiding bruisers can talk about strats and what not, and a WW channel where all bruisers can talk. Let the stupidity of this thread stop and lets all move along to better things.

Not only am I doing those who were done trying a favor by moving the channel since certain unwanted people got in it. And I brought it to the public so if people thought they should be in the channel here is their chance. Gaige has been involved in discussions related to Brawlers/Monks/Bruiers since the very beginning, I know because I've been here since the beginning as well. If you don't like it then don't read his posts.

just quit fighting over this, whats done is done. I joined that new channel and others have to, but I havent seen much chat. Why are some of you complaining yet you arent asking [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] in the channel that was made. I dont get it. I and many other bruisers would love to help, but when you post against this and dont even join/talk in this new channel it makes it sound like you dont want one.

This is the Bruiser forums- Their is a Bruiser WW channel that is open to all Bruisers, and their is a private one. This is probably the same with most classes actually. /shrug.Take care now, bye bye then. Not only am I doing those who were done trying a favor by moving the channel since certain unwanted people got in it. And I brought it to the public so if people thought they should be in the channel here is their chance. I turn into a jerk when people have to endlessly flame me when its not deserved, and IMO: This is not deserved.

Gaige has been involved in discussions related to Brawlers/Monks/Bruiers since the very beginning, I know because I've been here since the beginning as well. Why are some of you complaining yet you arent asking [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] in the channel that was made. I dont get it. I and many other bruisers would love to help, but when you post against this and dont even join/talk in this new channel it makes it sound like you dont want one. edit: The channel is Lucan_Dlere.WWBruisers , join it.
