What's the most challenging/rewarding/coolest thing you can do solo as a bruiser? At 57 I can solo sandscrawler king, but haven't tried much else.

Solo'n Mullok in Hidden Cache was a little challenging.Solo'n Roost.Solo'n Aysor the Mighty, Aysor's Eye.Being Un-beatable in duels (I know, sorta soloing lol....)Umm, Lots of other things that I'm too lazy to list; But I've probably done it. Lol

I account myself a fairly nifty soloer but there's no way I could solo some of that stuff. What gear do you have? And can you send me any?

so far I've been most effective at killing heroic encounters with 2-5 adds. Just mez, kill 1 or 2 adds, fd, rinse repeat.

fight named -- burn skills and space stuns and then mez/fear it until your skills repop and repeat. It is usually quite effective, especially with the dmg absorber.

I remember fighting Aysor the eye with a group and nearly dying - never thought about soloing it. Still, this has inspired me to aim a little higher.

Stun 4 sec- Stun 4 sec- Stun 2 sec - Mez 22.5 sec

This adds up to 65 seconds giving you a 5 second buffer, in between stuns do high damage arts and used manastone when the mob is mezzed and also dolls when mezzed. Enjoy soloing high level named.

I'm in the middle of Scornfeather Roost as I write this and I can't seem to beat the matrons. I managed the snakes - the one with the fear is a pain - but the matrons eat up half my hitpoints with one hit. I must not be timing my stuns right I suppose - and I can't afford to cos if they hit me three times (including heal) I'm dead.

After casting Storming Fists I'm throwing up Close Mind then pulling with a STA doll, casting Stone Deaf then mezzing with a STR doll. Uppercut (stun) Kidney Punch (stun) Crushing Fury, Eye Pluck, Flaming Lunge, Iron Fist (stun) Barbarous Stomp (stun) Meteor Fist. Then switch off quarrel and mez again. Throw up Deadly Spirit then Savage Blows, Crushing Fury and repeat.

This sequence has served me pretty well so far - but obviously it's not perfect or I'd be able to manage this instance. What's your tips? Do you need all Adept III and Master spells to do this - or is it more about timing?

Lol Thanks guys.Anna, you must be timing your stuns wrong, go all offensive the whole time (aside from Lunge). I never get hit once the whole fight until the very end when I'm simply spending my self-heal and waiting it out on killing them (Eye Pluck up at this point in time of course).Go power regen items too.Its really quite easy SMILEY

. You'll need Stone Deaf on one of the matrons though.

If soloing hard stuff is what you want to do though, go bruiser or troubador... you simply can't beat the effectiveness of mez.

I'm not sure if you are being sarcastic. If so it's a little light on.

There is no way I could solo Aysor the Mighty or any of the mobs you're describing, and I am reasonably equipped

and have all Master stances.

I can't speak to the L62 ^^^ mob, but I'm pretty confident I'd be dead in 15 seconds. In offensive stance ...5 seconds.

I'm starting to think some of us play in alternate universes.

I find the Sul Priestess of Fyr'Un a nice challenge. Ever since I try to get the 2nd priestess to spawn, but after 10+ clearings had no luck so far.I tried Aysor the Mighty the kiting way once after I heard brigands can solo it easy, but miserably failed cause the snare from hex doll breaks very fast. Not tried it since. But things I enjoy soloing is Hidden Cache, Vault of Flame and Court of Truth (I have to FD adds though when I choose a wrong (or no) answer).Finnster

Had another go at Mullock today and got him down to red before a mez fizzled and it was all over. I was quite proud of meself - though it's a little nerve-wracking fighting mobs that can kill you in two hits.

I have a question for Colossal. Two questions actually:

Firstly, how many attempts does it take to pull these fights off? 'Cause it seems to me at least a portion of the encounter is luck - will that stun hit, did the mob miss etc etc.

Secondly, what's your CA sequence? Since reading this thread and trying harder mobs I've been experimenting with mine a little - to some effect, actually - but would like to see where I'm going wrong.

Finally, I'd like to say that I'm finding this thread quite inspiring. Not everyone can be in an uberguild and many of the game's toughest mobs will never be more than a screenshot to a lot of people. Testing yourself against the game's hardest solo mobs is open to everyone however, and - notwithstanding the extra 'fabled' and 'masters' members of raiding guilds get - is as good a measure of individual skill as you can expect.

All rivalry aside, I say kudos to players such as Colossal, Gaige and others who show us what our characters are capable of if we try.

In a pub fight I would [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn]ing have you all of course. :smileyvery-happy:

Soloing Hidden Cache is easy a pie for me, but I must say, my biggest challenge thus far is dueling this Defiler in my guild..... Dude has like 6.2K Hp's and it's a real pain getting him into the red.

Generally it takes one time at most. Very few times do I need to feign and get up to go again.My CA lineup for most mobs.On INC I have up (stone deaf depending on mob, shocking fists, all offensive, deadly spirit, all power regen gear (aside from pris on high lvl mobs like Aysor) Pull with +13 STA Doll.Iron Fist, Crushing Fury, Meteor Fist, Kidney Punch, Shocking Fists, Savage Blows, Barbarous Stomp, Burning Lunge, Uppercut, Eye Pluck, Roundhouse (sometimes), Tank while auto attack DPS is flowing (generally I use dw slashs or fistwraps), this gives time to put Stone Deaf to use, At around 63% Hp Ignore Agony, Cancel Lunge(if it hasn't already done so), Mez, Refresh +13Sta Doll, Use +13STR Doll, Shocking Fists (if up, sometimes I am too lazy and dont time it perfectly before savage blows so I might not use it), Iron Fist, Meteor Fist, Roundhouse, Barbarous Stomp, (Mez or Fear Depending on mob) *if Feared: Sonic Fists pound in teleport, Abuse when mobs OTW back in to interrupt if they casting* Mez if 1min stuns aren't up (Kidney/Uppercut). Once they are up, rince-repeat.Pretty close to what I usually do, on certain mobs I swap it up.Oh and to clarify, I solo'd all "ghost" mobs for Ring of Fate quest aside from the heat elemental in PoF because he is heat & crush immune iirc. Although the one in Clefts has super high avoidance he was a challenge.

You know bruisers can solo blades court too...

Kill the non-kos ones at the start, fd your way up to the price and keep him alive by taking on the adds, then start picking off those double ^^ blades guards and take those adds with you, get up to use the barrel to bring dukaris down then bring him back to the prince to keep the adds on you, he has the stun that he uses which is [Removed for Content] but if you time it right you shouldnt have to worry about it... at all just use close mind at the start of your battle and use the stun combinations.

Good luck on getting your slasher from there though, done it many times with no master chest, its a lot of work

If you didnt know this trick you can never kill the one in PoF and continually kill all the other djinn over and over again.

Kill the non-kos ones at the start, fd your way up to the price and keep him alive by taking on the adds, then start picking off those double ^^ blades guards and take those adds with you, get up to use the barrel to bring dukaris down then bring him back to the prince to keep the adds on you, he has the stun that he uses which is [Removed for Content] but if you time it right you shouldnt have to worry about it... at all just use close mind at the start of your battle and use the stun combinations. Good luck on getting your slasher from there though, done it many times with no master chest, its a lot of work If you didnt know this trick you can never kill the one in PoF and continually kill all the other djinn over and over again.
