I really miss my old AQ armor, and I mean the old harness slightly offset with the pants. Man we looked like Bruisers.

Then we got slammed when they changed the graphic to the flamingo pink monk looking stuff. Looking at a hulking Ogre bruiser in pretty pink monk armor is more then a little disturbing.

Odd how the race affects the armor...on the lizard I really don't like it at all, if that were the first picture I'd seen I probably would have not done the AQ since playermade is just as good.  Still, I really do like it on my ratonga bruiser...enough so, that I hate the fact that I'll outgrow it soon.  I love the tattered legs, and the different tunic---guess I need to hope I can camp the blood drenched Gi  because I truly don't want to go back to looking like all the wardens out there lol I'll try to get a screenshot of my character in her AQ armor so you can see how it looks on a different race ~Yira

I agree the original aq armor was great looking and have no idea why they ever changed it for bruisers.  It made you look well like a bruiser.  Kind of thugish which is what I see you as, big brutish thugs.  Monks are more tranquill and should get the gi look.  Personalities between the two is different and the cloths should reflect that.  Did any of the bruisers complain about the look you had at the time.  I remember when the game came out seeing a bruiser for the first time in aq and thought wow what armor is that.  I never saw it on a female though as this was early on and there were not many bruisers.

Well I don't play a bruiser I play a monk but feel the astetics fit better of the old aq for what a bruiser should be.

Never complained here. The tunic looked a little off center on my bruiser, but other than that I liked it. I remember when I first got the AQ, people were be running up in front of me and just standing there staring. The Ashen Disciple Gi kinda reminds me of the old AQ, but with the part covering the breasts over the harness instead and minus a couple of the harness straps, and of course the pants without the stripes and studs.

!
That looks so much better than what it is now SMILEY.

With the new armor guy working, maybe we can make some kind of request?
The armor is already in the game, the look of it anyways...
So why not add a dropped Gi in somewhere with the old AQ look?

The Hammertime pants! And the horrible pixilated low-rez chestplate!

If they reworked the old style, it might look good, but I would hate to see them open the can on the original, as it was.

And yes, the pink pajamas sucked worse. :smileysurprised:

Yep that is the one I remember that teche posted.  I personally really liked it and thought it was cool, deffinately fit the character in my oppinion, of a burly no armored, I am going to kick your [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] for looking at me  guy.

One of my other new favorites I think that make me think bruiser, all though its little more gi looking but darker and more sinister(black and blood red) is the one that sarumyen(spelling) one of the level 65 epic guys in maj'dul is wearing.   I also saw a guy in the first camp in feerott wearing it.  It looks sweet, but have not heard of or seen any non npc person wearing it.  If anyone wants to post a picture of that one so others can see.  Unless its already posted elsewhere.

Yes the one Teche posted is exactly the armor I want to see again.

Or if you watched the old Conan the Barbarian movies the stuff Conan had on when he was a gladiator. Bone spikes sticking out of the shoulder pieces and such. Now that screams bruiser.

That is statless status clothing that you can buy from City Merchants when your guild becomes level 30.
