Grouped with some guild mates last night wizard was running a parser. All level 50s a wizzy, Dirge, assasin, Zerker, and defiler and myself 50 bruiser. Only master I have is battle fury rest adept 1 except for a couple skills are app. 1. Most my damage spells adept 1.  First couple fights I fell well behind assasin and wizzy and was right around zerkers damage. I switched to magmatic fists, Battle fury, rousing cry, shocking fists every time it popped and threw shrug off on the tank. At this point I started surpassing everyone but wizzy by about 1k damage a fight wizzy averaged 500 to 1k damage more a fight then me. This was fighting 56 3 up heroics in pillars. Wizzy has most of his damage sittng on master and told me he was hard pressed to out damage me. I feel if I upgrade the rest of my skill and get a couple more masters I could have out damaged him.
I do not see where they nerfed our damage at all. IMHO I feel as though we got a boost. I have always played my Bruiser DPS style due to the fact my guild has very well equiped plate tanks. Since revamp people are amazed by the abuse I dish out on mobs and them now that duelings an option. Also let me add my power bar barely moves even when im blowing through skills behind a mob in a DPS situation. I am very pleased with the revamp and it seems now people are playing it they are too. humbs up SOE it just takes getting used to is all.

I as well started parsing while killing the same monsters with many of the same classes befor the amp, and so far I really am enjoying it. My test mabye wasn't as expanded as yours but i kept my same old place in damage ranking!, even when grouping with a wizard higher level then me I outdamaged him more often then he did me. when his power started to suffer his damage dropped to a fraction of mine, and when he has good power it's still a coin toss on who will pass who it often depended on who got the last high damage spell/skill fired off.

Want to see some really crazy DPS. The conj in my guild has an air pet that on our raid on Drayek was parsing around 400 DPS... thats just freaking NUTS. His pet out DPS'd everyone on every fight.

I have grouped with the same Assassin now for two days ..and although are dps seems to be right around where we were before revamp, Assassins do much better dps then us..I was running combat stats..and he was popping 439 dps  fairly consistant.

All my skills are Adept 3, with a few masters, I was using my Sixta knuckles and Prismatic(offhand) and I was ranging between 200-296 dps this was with Ap1 Offensive stance. The big problem I see is that scouts now have an agro dump ability to help the MT out while they shred the backsides of mobs, when I tried to go all out dps I was stripping agro constantly.

Been there, Seen that, Been killed by it, Came back and kicked its [Removed for Content]!

I just heard of this dps tool that straight up tells you how everybody faired damage wise after a fight. Is this something you have to download or is it an ingame thing?, if it's in-game how do you get it?

Thank You, sorry if it's a stupid question.

www.combatstats.comReally need to run it on long fights to get real numbers... in a short fight you can unload the big CAs and get crazy numbers.

I find that epics really show the meat of a class' DPS. When you get to the point where people start running out of power, you'll be able to see exactly who can sustain what damage for how long.

Wizards have abilities to increase their power, are more inclined to get power regen traits, and have more power regen items geared for them (robes, and cloth level mitigation armor with Flowing Thought on them).

I've found that Fighters in general have really good burst DPS, in the "normal fight" sense, but end up haing to rely on their autoattack damage (albeit decent) for the long run. Unless you are in some special, tailor made DPS group (with stacked on haste and +DPS %) then they can be really good for DPS in sustained combat.

However, mages tend to last very long when it comes to CA damage, either their spells are more power efficient, or they have more ways of getting their power up. I have a warlock friend that barely sees the bottom of her power bar on Epic encounters... let alone normal combat. With the revamp, she's been able to burn during the fight and still not be the one the group waits on for power.

One last note on Bruiser DPS. Personally, I have a hard time keeping up with my mage and scout buddies in the DPS department... however, that's probably because my Strength hasn't been my focus. I noticed the poster also said they didn't experience power issues either, which tells me he probably has a huge Strength score.

On the other hand, I have a massive Agility and Stamina score, I've had more hitpoints than other fighters my level, and I have a really high avoidance. So I probably tank at a level much greater than the same Bruiser built for damage.

So we can do it both, like pre-revamp. A bruiser built for damage will take power regen traits, boost his strength astronomically, and get an adept 3 for his Magmatic Fists. One geared for defense will go all out stamina and agility and try and upgrade his Retaliation line.

Considering the stuns, interupts and ghetto crowd control we get, offtanking/dps'ing can be just as valid a role for us as being MT.

I don't play any other tanks, but I'd hope that they were in at least a somewhat similar position as us.

Its not only us. Grouped last night with a fairly uber guardian and although not often but a couple times he was parsed at the top as far as damage.

I find that, while using magmatic fists, I am doing more damage then with weapons.  So when I am just in DPS mode, I drop the beat sitck and just pummel stuff.   The proc on magmatic fists does more than twice the damage when it goes off.   Try it next time when you goofing around.  I don't have a parser, but it just seems like I lay the smackdown a whole lot better bare fisted.

ya  i used my thundering fist stance for awhile bare handed.  the proc wasnt to often but when it did BOOM.  Only problem is the delay time on fists is longer then using duel wield weapons.  Still its cool to see a dynamic stance that differs
