I was just wondering if anyone could post me a pic of thier bruiser/monk, in attack mode, wearing a pair of augmented cestii, or fist wraps.  Im not even sure if fist wraps change the look, i have never used them, but jw.  I cant decide between the 2 for my t5 weps, so it has come down to look.  TYVM.

Allow me to be unhelpful and not comply to your request. In general, go with the cestii first. A few reasons: 1) Slash weapons are harder to come by for us than crush 2) Fistwraps are now crush 3) The delay on fistwraps is really low, ebon knuckles have a better one 4) Eventually, when you get your prismatic, you'll use that if you dual wield 5) The good raid dropped two-handers for us are crush weapons

Kk, thx guys, i do plan on getting the cestii, but i thought that all fist weps were made crushing, and they arent slashing any more, i have used, from lvl 20-33, which i currently am, imbued rare crafted cestii, and its still the same.

fistwraps are crushing, hence why i have 2 sets. fistwraps for crushing and if i come up against a mob that is immune or resistant to crushing i have the cestii for slashing.

edit:all fist weapons do use crushing as a base skill, no matter what damage they actually do. apparently some people are far too lazy to lvl up a skill if they slacked on it.

I dont see how that is possible, the cestii has a base of crush dmg, yet it does slashing? If that is so, then why is my slashing still at like 50, when i have been using cestii for about 13 lvls?  Sry if im being noobish, i just dont understand.  Thx

The key words are damage and skill.

Technicly we don't have a slashing SKILL anymore as all of our possible weapon types use a crushing SKILL.  However, cesti and cestus do slashing DAMAGE and piercing DAMAGE while fistwraps and sticks do crushing.  So when you use cesti and you look at your damage text you will see that you are doing slashing (or piercing, cant remember which is which) damage but you will get skill ups for your crushing skill.

Ok, tyvm, I see now, but, is there such thing as a mob that is immune to crushing and slashing? because i plan on having 2 pairs of imbued augmented cestii made, and have my heirophants crook or w/e, but if there is such a thing, ill need to buy some cestus as well, ty.

why would you want 2 pairs of cestii?

but yes it is always good to have a backup but you dont have to go overboard. i just have a set of crush(fistwraps) and a set of slash(cestii) you will rarely run into a mob that is immune or resistant to both. althogh having a 2 hander for tanking purposes isnt a bad plan either.

Heh, i meant 2 cestii, dunno why i said that.  However, I plan on getting the 2cestii, and 2cestus.  And then, If i can scrounge up enough money, ill have some fistwraps made, however, I would rather have batons than fistwraps, but cedar costs more than the raw augmented items on my sever.

honestly, Just get the two Cestii made and if you need crushing get a good 2hb. Few mobs are resistant to slashing and hardly any are to crushing, but however alot are to piercing so I never thought about getting a piercing dmg cestus. Which honestly, I think cestus look lame anyhow, where bare knuckle looks of fistwraps isn't bad, and cestii/claws look very nice. Which i do feel they should add in atleast one lvl 45+ Cestus, cestii and fistwrap into raid level loot, allowing us to have high end  lengendary and fabled weapons just like all the other classes that use weapons for thier dmg.

Go into the Obelix and fight the worm that guards the entrance to the Obelix it self. He is imune to crushing and slashing, but not to piercing or any magical (fire, ice, poison, etc ) You will miss all the attacks if you use the wrong dmg type. Several epic raid mobs have similar imunities. Knowing your enemy is a key element to a succesful raid.
