Hi all, I've got bored of my berserker and paladin so i decided to start a new char on a new server, ok im new to evil chars so im just gonna have to adapt to that one. Anyways from what i have heard Bruisers out dps all fighter classes (occasionally not berserkers) and i would just like to ask a few questions.... 1. I noticed bruisers have a lot of "Fist" skills, is it better for them to use knuckle/fist wrap based items to hand out more damage or does it not really matter? 2. Monks use agility for there defense for avoidance, what do Bruisers use? 3. In which order would you put these stats of importantance... Strength,Agility & Stamamina, i would not know what is vital for Bruisers due to always being the MT. 4. The combat arts which bruisers use for 20-30 seemed to be more buff based, meaning not many attacks, our bruisers aimed to be a more use combat arts to create dps or use your combat arts to buff and hand out dps with barely any combat arts? 5. Can anyone explain why bruisers our the least seen class on my server (Highkeep) despite being the most versatile/dps class out of the whole fighter archtype? 6. Our we classed as back-up/support tanks/dps class? 7. By the looks of it i would like to use fist wraps (or fist type related item), so would i better going into a tradeskill and creating my own weapons due to not many heritage/fabled fist type weapons? Anywayz be appreciated if someone could answer these questions, i want to see what makes bruisers so unique & rare to find! im bored of the sword/shield heroic heavy armour big barbarien character, wanted a more rare/versatile class.

1. It doesnt really matter, unless you get skills that upgrade your fist skill.  Since it doesnt matter much at first, I would use fist based weps, for when u do get those skills

2.  I am usually the mt, so I like to work on agi, it is the most important to me, with str in a close second.  Bruisers do use agi for avoidance to tank, but they are also a dps class, so str is important, I guess it depends on what you want to focus on.

3.  agi, str, sta.  But agian, thats just me, Im sure a lot of bruisers would put str first, just depends on what you would like to focus on.

4. The majority of the bruisers abilities arent mosty buffs from lvl 20-30, a about half, or a little less are.  I use combart arts more than buffs to do damage.

5.  You probably see very few bruisers, because both of your previous characters have been good.  I see many of them in fp.

Hope this helps, I am not a high lvl bruiser, so other peoples answers may be different.

6.  About 80% of the time, I have been mt, but i have uber gear, weps and jewelry.  Unless we get a guardian or really good pally, I am mt.  I also hand out a very good [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot] kicking.  I would say that most people dont see us as good tanks, as I have been picked to be back up tank to some sks' that i can outtank by quite a bit.

7.  Unless you plan on having your weaponsmith/woodworker make legendary items, I wouldnt do it.  I have used common crafted items, they are terrible compared to the treasured weps I use.  However, the rare crafted items are better than the treasured items.  Depends on how deep your pockets are.  I would say dont make a weaponsmith just to make your bruiser weps.  They sell cheap enough on the broker.

1. later on you will get CA's that upgrade your fist skills. I still use maces just to be original but if you are trying to top out your bruiser you definatley want fist wraps or cesti. My roughhouse app1 (it's app1 cause I don't use fists) adds 5 to my fists skill and takes 10 away from deflection.

2. AGI is avoidance across the board.

3. Depending on if you plan to dps or tank more. Str and agi are the two important ones. If you plan for dps focus on str as it increases your power pool as well as how hard you hit. If you plan on being the mt agi as it helps your avoidance. I went middle ground as I tend to do both.

4. their are plenty of CA's you will be pumping out alot of dps through both ca's and through your wepaons.

5. simple people don't know how to play bruisers well so they are way under rated. they go the boards see all the bruisers whining and go to the other boards and see bruisers getting bad mouthed.

6. It all depends on you. though most likley you will not be mt in a raid unless the people know you can play a bruiser properly. If you learn how to play a bruiser properly you will fast make friends to fill all of those roles.

7. I can not speak for that one as I use dual maces just to add some flavor to my char. I usualy do see some good fistwraps on the market though on Antonia Bayle
