Do Brusiers get armor like monks? ... or are all our toons just light armor fighter looks?

Oh yea, we get armor, IMO its a crock, As a tailor the standard boiled armor I can make is pretty close, the AQs where better at the start of the level 20 range, but as you get higher the crafted stuff pans out. Ill stick with my full set of cubirlli armor, also as far as looks the graphic is all on the final piece as apposed to a new on on each piece, so unitil you get your chest slot, it looks like you are running around naked. When you finally get it it looks great, if you like a dark brownish pink.

I loved the look of etched armor (suited for late 20s to early 30s), but, sadly, I had to replace it eventually.

I was pretty happy with wearing pristine Boiled Armour until SOE changed its appearance. I personally think I look like Im wearing pyjamas. But there has been many comments in game about how it looks. It looks bloody stupid! Bruisers are supposed to be tough. I cant wait to purchase some armour that does not look quite so pathetic as what Ive been forced to endure for the last couple of weeks since the change. BTW I wont be going down the AQ route either, that armour is just as bad.Heres what I look like now. pretty scary? Bet you wouldnt want to meet him in a dark alley =?
