Was wondering, at higher levels, how fast do you attack? What are bruiser's mainly good for?

Just trying to decide what to do, hehe.

Bruisers and also Monks are mainly (atleast in beta) were used as secondary tanks and DPS. A lot of people had a hard time being MT, but I think it depends a lot on your equipment.

You'll have weapons with 1.3, 1.7, or 2.0 speed mostly in the 20-30 periode. Then you'll have haste from enchanters and bards, so speed really isn't that much of a worry. By the time you get 40+ you might even have a haste item.

I think they would rank maybe 3rd or 4th best damage taking tank and the 4th or 5th best melee damager.

My lvl 22 Bruiser was able to pull taunt off every creature my group's lvl 21 guardian was fighting yesterday.  He was taunting every time the recast time on it was over (so he says, though it seems too hard to believe).  This only happened when i used all of my power skills in succession (I have 7 lined up on hotkey).  As for DPS, bruiser is great, but not the best there is.  Bruiser/monk is not for everyone;  you have to like the class to be able to play it properly.  It is not the best tank, and it is not the best damage dealer, but i love playing one anyway.

Yes, you can change stances depending on your role.  If tanking, you can sacrifice offensive abilities for greater defensive and dodging abilities.  If you are not the main tank, you can change stance to greatly increase your offensive abilities, while decreasing defense.

It is a great multi-purpose character class, but again, its not for everyone.

Oh, and feign death has saved my life numerous times now.  (When it decides to work).

this is just my $.02
