Posting for my bro, he can't get on right now--What's the ideal, or at least "a good amount of," strength for a 65 monk? He's pushing 400 unbuffed, once his belt get finished he'll be up there.Opinions? What do you all have?

I'd say 400 at 65 is good. I'm at like 441? or something at 70.

I think 400 at 65 just fine, I remember I had 457 at lvl 65 self buffed and now lvl 70 have 506 self buffed.

![]() A lot also depends on if you are a raider or not. I'm sure my STR is no where near 400 at lvl 67. I also went with STA / HP traits rather then STR ones and have not put any points into the STR line. |

I too am around 440 self buffed as well @ lvl 70. STA and AGI 320'ish (but my resists are not great). Have been around 400 STR for a while now.

![]() Good gracious Amorphis, you went from lvl 1 to 68 in less then 60 days??? Fantastic job. Did you kill everything on your way to every quest? What is your secret? Please fill me in. I started a monk not long after launch (did take about 8 months off and been back 3 months now) and I'm only lvl 53. Teach me master /bows.

how many hours a day or frequency of play did you put in during your journey to 70? Just curious if you had a planned schedule of game play time and such.Masuimi

Note his grizzfazzle greatstaff, thats 50 strength right there (and 400 health). Note also he is using two strength hex dolls, another 28 strength. Add that 78 strength to say 340 and we are talking 418 just from those three items added.Note that if you are a tanking monk, you will probably have stamina dolls and so will lose 28 strength (and gain about 140 health), so you would not expect to reach this. Thus you can see that depending on what you do a lot will determine what you can use and what strength you may have. Non staff using, tank monks may have less strength unless they have very good gear elsewhere.

![]() Let me make a correction and show how un-uber I am. 340 str is when i'm grouped. Ungrouped i'm a around 290 str self buffed. My 2 weps give a total of around 30 str so the grizzlefang would only give say 20 more str. I have a bit more work to do. Don't have alot of cash to purchase rare totems/jewelry. On the bright side, I hit 66 this weekend. Yay staff of enlightenment! |
