Monk Weapons

Hi guys, I'm trying to put together a list of monk weapons for post 30, I have a few questions.

Has anyone ever seen Pristine Oak wood Batons?

Also what are the weapons called that have a long blade extending from the handle? (while equiped, not looking at the icon, some icons look like the type I'm interested in, yet end up being that dumb bowl)

Cestii have the long blade extending from the handle, and I presume you mean "Oakwood Fighting Batons" which are dropped and rare and not the crafted version, since you are looking for level 30ish stuff.

Thanks Gage, I wasnt aware that the Oakwood fighting baton was a drop, do you know if its possible to craft a pristine version of those? would be awesome if they were imbued.

I believe those drop from the EL boat ride.

Yep. Had seen them drop both on chests off the mini mobs, as well as on the boss mob on that boat trip. This was AWHILE back though, so I've no idea if that drop has changed at all.

i did the boat trip last night and the oakwood baton dropped from the boss mob so yes they do still drop.

Personally i hate batons, staffs and spiky pudding bowls. Im getting my guild weaponsmith to make me some cuirboilli imbued cestii as i just love the animation using them.

Fist wraps are crushing damage now right? They used to be slashing.

They used to be broken. But yes, now they are crushing damage.

There are also crafted oak batons. The pristine version is something like +6 agi and +8-10 str (the dropped oakwood is +10 agi and +2 str). If you are looking for agi/str balance, a pair of those would be nice, espscially if imbued (assuming the imbuing process does not change their stats like it does on a few other bugged weapons).

That's what I use also, 2 of them, and they are absolutely fabulous. :smileyvery-happy: I bought them at level 28, and the second I hit 30 I had them on. So lovely....
