Destructive Rage and Rampage Master 1 dropped on my guilds raid this weekend and I am a lonely Berserker in the guild. I have a chance to buy them both with my raid points from the guild. At first it would seem they are not worth buying. Rampage is totally useless, and the difference between Destructive Rage Adept 1 and Master 1 is only a 30HP difference. It would only cost the equivalent of 2 full days of raiding for both Master 1's so it's not that expensive, but I just don't know.

Another thought is the combat revamp and how these abilities would be affected/changed. What are your guys' thoughts?

You are the only zekrer and you STILL have to pay for the books? Seems to me you might wanna look for another guild. As for your question, take ANY master book you can get...the new system TOTALY revamps the skills, and there will be a big diference between adept 3 and master books.

He's talking about DKP, its pretty normal to use raid points to buy masters.  But in my guild master spells are auto-given if you need them, but I could definately see how some guilds would charge raid points for any master item.

I'd go for it.  It's only 2 days worth of raiding anyway.  You'll have those points back in no time.

/agree.  If you are the only Zerker that can use these books why should your guild charge you anything at all for them.  Might want to consider some other guilds.

I bought them both, thanks for the comments guys. As for my guild, it is only fair to charge for raid loot no matter how many of the same classes you have. For example 2 paladins are at a raid and a master drops that they both need, one of them will get charged points for winning the item like normal, but just because there is no other berserker I should get them for free? That is not fair at all in my eyes. Oh and btw when I examined the Master 1 Destructive Rage it was only a 30hp difference but when I scribed it and casted it, it was alot more, I don't have the correct numbers but the examine lies, which doesn't surprise me.

A good guild will maximize the potential of all members and everything else will be secondary. DKP is a BS system for spells. If you have two pallys viaing for the same skill it should be a random 100 roll of the dice. The only thing to use DKP for is fabled armor items, and even then it's just as well to roll NBG.  All fabled is lore anyways so you can only have one of that item in your inventory.

The DKP system is used in order to reward who participate mainly to the raids and therefore that mainly it contribute to the guildìs life.
If it is made to roll an object between two or more persons there is the risk that gains it one that even has participated to a raid on ten rather than one that it has participated to all the ten raids. Therefore with the DKP it is sure that that one spell is used in a greater number of raids.
Moreover I do not find just that a person with low attendance to the raids has the same possibilities to loot of someone who has a high attendance.

In my guild the leaders hand out the Masters to those who they they feel will make it benefit the guild the most, we use DKP on fabled items. However, I would get them if I were you because they may be fixed in the revamp.

If you don't mind saying, what mob/instance dropped your masters? I raid every day for several hours a day and I never see berserker masters drop.

Well, with the revamp, those spells along with just about everything are getting changed. However, I agree, if you can get a Master, do so. Rampage can be a raid saver, and in it's current form, very powerful. Hence the 60 minute timer. Everything hasn't shaken out yet, but I think that Rampage will still be one of those tools you want to have in the bag. Even in it's current form, upgrading rampage generates a large difference in the amount of damage done. Rampage+Berserk+Haste=Insane aggro. Hit Rage or Infuriation, then Rampage, and watch the numbers fly.
