i'm level 19 and at the stage in the subclass quest where i have to go into serpent sewers storage room, regardless of which way i go i run into groups of 4 to 5 aggressive mobs that i can't solo all at once.  was just curious if anyone was able to get past this solo or if they had to bring help.  thanks for any input

I soloed it just fine, take every step slowly and make sure to regin back up. Also make sure all your spells are app 4 and that your armor is all white or better.

I was level 18, had my abilitys as App2 and one, yes only one adept I .. (mr cheap berserker here) SMILEY
armor was ok.. but not "uber"

I just unleashed H.Os, Combat abilitys one after the other and killed the lot... solo. i stopped to heal after every fight and never moved without full health and power..

The fight with the two at the back... (forgotten who they were) the one taht said "You idiot, someone followed you here!" I found them pretty tough but killed them with 10% Hp left...

solo is do-able SMILEY
I was lucky, watched carfully to avoid aggro, ran to "safe spots" to pull/taunt mobs too and worked around the area slowly

and of course I am a Tough Dwarf ;P
easy as goblin pie *cough*

Im from Qeynos, so my subclass quest was in a valley in Antonica.

Was easy to solo, i didnt have any ubber armor or skills, just was careful and killed them all step by step. The rough fight was at the druid ring, but was very doable solo.

Bow and arrows are your friend! Long range pulling...

The solution is a ranged weapon. Don't fight the 2 groups together, pull one with an arrow and kill them. Then pull the other. Then it's easy... and yes boring. That quest need an update eventually.

What he's referring to is the freeport version, in serpent sewer getting to the storage room, not the fight in the storage room itself.   There are many like lv 18-20 group mobs in the way, so it it is hard to get too.. I recall having to be very patient evading roamers and going around the long way.. its near impossible to get past the rat people groups, unless you train them just right and know exactly where the entrance is.  When my son did it I escorted him through with my berserker 36 at the time, the fight inside th store room is very trivial at 19, and yes can only be done solo.

Yes the actual quest part is easy. It's getting there that's the pain.

I ran it. As soon as I got into the snake room I hit Sprint and booted down the corridor. I made it with no problem and regened once inside before I started killing.

Just make sure you know exactly where the door is and how to get to it. And remember it's a right-click and select - not an auto left-click. Also try to warn any groups that might be between you and the door.

Aye pain to get to the room. I got lucky and the aggro mobs weren't there. Was a bad place to put this subclass quest.

Actually I think the placing is intentional. Templar quest in Queynos is the same way; I helped a guildie out by escorting him to the door (this was before the aggro changes). Since everything was gray to me we were able to walk past the mobs. Walkthrough recommended just running through the mobs and jumping through the door.

I ran it and made it into the room just fine, I had a map though and knew how to get there. Once I got in the instance I was able to regen and rest before I took on the mobs in the room. I used a bow and arror to pull the sub groups so I would not get overwhelmed. I was able to do it on the first attempt, just had took a bit of time to prepare for it.
