I saw the patch messages today, and since I'm at work, I can't log in. I'm curious as to what it looks like now, anyone care to fill me in?

Yeah it seems to be alot better than it's previous discription, just wish they'd lower the power a bit. It also says it rarely misses in it's description which is a plus.

Its awesome. Ive been using Obliterate and following that up with Flay, both attacks havent missed at all. This is really going to help out with soloing along with Bind Wound, not to mention the increase in dps. Well done devs.

Aye, I'm only 63 but I'm already seeing a nice increase in efficiency/soloability with Bind Wound and Belly smash. Obliterate should really help also. I'm thinking of it as Flay having its reuse timer cut in half and adding a debuff to it.

Bah humbug. The old Obliterate would have been awesome in conjunction with Dragoon's Reflexes and Reinforcement. Now it's just another CA to mash.

Sounds good though.

So now our "ancient" for this teir is nothing more than a dps and minor debuff. And by changing this, using Dragoon Reflexes is going to become very dangerous and more than likely useless on raids. We now have no way to maintain agro over a 12 second period while we are silenced and our reactive agro procs arent going off since we arent being hit.It was almost a really useful and unique tool.StarkeLeader of Alternate EclipseOasis

This skill has lots of potential to help us fighting high yellows , and orange cons with those debuffs.

The debuff only lasts 10 seconds and has a 60 second recast. The new version of this spell is much less useful than the original.StarkeLeader of Alternate EclipseOasis

Exactly... Obliterate with Dragoon's Reflexes would have rocked the house.Good Combo for Guardians! DEV ALERT! SMILEYNow it is another CA to mash as other's posted.... no tactics, no strategy, no player skill involved...Comparing it to our brothers in arms, the berserkers, who get a real berserk (lower defense, boost offense) for insane (I guess) dps increase - short term agreed - we get the blunt stick again.I think SOE will stop when their numbers show 1 guardian per raid guild... wow

i agree totally.  the older version would have been neat as a toy but the new version actually has a great purpose. :smileyvery-happy:

combined with dispatch its a great debuff to mobs for us melee classes :smileyhappy:

Last night was toying around in the lab with the following combo to some very impressive results: Obliterate > Dispatch/debilitate then Flay.  Highest hit on Flay currently is 2321 and climbing, I just wish the rankings would update some day.

ah, haven't had much experience with brigands, both the guilds i've been in were sans brigand.
