Same here, no option to read and double clicking on them does not help either. I can get the examine window but no way to read the book.

Thanks for the help. I am noticing I am a little weak in the HP area, so I think I am going to give a little boost to STA to help in the beginning. Remember I'm a DE and started with a lower STA....

Agree with the OP. I left the game after it came out after 5-6 months of play for those reasons. I had heard they were fixed, so I've come back to check out the game. Maybe I just made a big mistake!...
