<p>I'm sure this has been covered somewhere but I cant find anything specific, so pls bare with me. Could someone explain a little about the new content, especially zones (not instances). What are the zones, by mob level? Solo content? How do you get to the new zones (again, not instances)? Sorry if this has been touched on and thanks in advance.</p>

<p>The only solo zone I can think of (I only played beta for a short time) is the Moors of Ykesha, the new overlands zone. From what I saw, it is geared toward level 70+ players. You get there by riding the airship from the new Sinking Sands dock, which is what they were working on in stage 2 of the DIRTY events.</p><p>Whether or not there's sub-zones that are for solo beyond Moors of Ykesha, I have no idea. Hopefully someone else who played beta more extensively can supply a more comprehensive answer. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></p>

<p>The Solo zone is a massive Overlandzone called Moors of Ykesha, it is the only official solo zone, of course, some will solo atleast parts of the heroic content at some point, but there are no other solo zones than Moors. However, the Moors are really big so thats not much of a issue.</p><p>To access it, take the Airship from SS, it leaves where you got all the recent live event quests from the gnomes that dont like monkeys.</p><p>Once you get to Moors, you will arrive at the docks, there are several quest npc's, also there are merchants, crafting stations and so on.</p><p>Throughout the zone there are several sokokar posts, they work the same way as the rok ones (your rok soko works there, no need to quest for a new one), also there are some other means of travel, not going to spoil those though.</p><p>Mobs are almost entirely solo and in the upper 70's and aoe classes will be happy to know that multimob solo encounters are making a return after they went missing with rok. There are some heroics, but either they are on a faction you get through questing so they wont be aggro, or you easily avoid them.</p><p>the quests are designed "similar" to the rok ones, as in they are often shortish questlines, introduce you to npc who will hand out next ones. There are various locations where the npc's are, the quests do a good a job at guiding you around though.</p>

<p>There arn't any solo sub-zones in Moors either, but the entrances to The Void and Guk are located there.</p>

And yes a zone scaled to 50 will have mobs 2 -3 levels above 50 just like most zones that you zone into at the intended level.</p>

<p>I feel seriously misled by this expansion. Misled by the bad wording on what exactly we get as preorder items with the digital download. But even more, I feel misled about the lack of content other than instances for those 50-70. When you read the advertisement it specifically says for levels 50-80. Nowhere, and I don't even see any fine print on this... nowhere does it say for 50-70 instances only.</p><p>It's misleading and dishonest. I'm going to assume that I didn't read the fine print on our preorder digital download items. My fault. It must be written somewhere and I didn't read it.</p><p>But where does it say, even in fine print about lack of real content for 50-70? A link to that would be great. I'm talking about the fine print in the advertisement. Not something posted on the forums. I don't visit the forums often and I don't use them for complaining. This is my first real complaint here and I've been with SOE games for years now.</p><p>This is wrong, dishonest and I can take a good guess on why SOE did it this way. They were afraid that if they targeted only the crowd that this expansion was designed for, they wouldn't sell enough copies. They misled/lied and made it out to be like it was an actual expansion for 20 previous levels that it's essentially useless for excepting instances.</p><p>If I wanted to play instances I'd still be playing Guild Wars.</p><p>Thanks for ripping off alot of people</p>

<p>The one thing I have learned is that you NEVER buy a expansion until it has been out for a while.</p><p>Sony lies (as do other online games) all the time,it's all about money.</p><p>A faster mount in EQ2 is kinda silly to worry about since it cancels while in combat.</p><p>$40 for a expansion for a game this old besides the lack of content in this expansion is too much,it should have been like $20 and that is pushing it.</p><p>Yes I know you get all your past expansions with it but this game is pretty old and outdated,reminds me of old guys buying a Corvette trying to be young or old women dating younger men.</p><p>For a lot of players getting the full decent groups togeather,no thanks I'll keep my $40.</p>

And yes a zone scaled to 50 will have mobs 2 -3 levels above 50 just like most zones that you zone into at the intended level.</p></span></blockquote><p>That's not entirely accurate.  Our group was one 51 and 5 mentored 80s and we were getting plenty of stuff spawned at level 55.  This wasn't as much of an issue after the 51 leveled twice through the course of our progress, but expect the zone to be up to 4 levels higher than average, possibly more.</p><p>And yes, the dungeons most definitely require full groups, Befallen in particular.  No single thing there is inordinately difficult, but very rarely will you be dealing with single things (or single encounters).</p>

There's a large outdoor zone for people to adventure in. There's new crafting stuff. TSO adds another 76-80 solo zone, and a ton of group and tradeskill content.</p><p>If you are a diehard soloer, do not have a 50+ tradeskiller, and have no characters level 75 or higher, then there is no need to buy TSO at this point.</p>

<p>I agree Lemonella both my husband and I spent weeks to get some of our alts up to lev 50 for the new solo content only to discover after hours of searching the zone with our higher lev toons to find that no content existed at all. We were very disappointed to say the least that there was no lev 50 new solo or duo content, since we also read and understood SOE advertisments that this zone would provide solo, group, and raid content for levels 50-80 players in TSO. SOE had the opportunity to provide content that would have pleased all playstyles, including a broader range of levels instead of just level 70 to 80 new content like in all the past expansions, but they not only dropped the ball. It gets really boring doing the same zones and quest over and over with alts.</p><p>Some of the over land areas are filled with heroics which will be utilized only by very few groups, since most will be doing the instance zones for the shards to purchase items and mounts, as a result, those over land heroics are nothing more than mobs that ppl will have to avoid, which is a waste of content in my opinion. Most or many of the named boss npc's on the over land are heroic and I ran into a few of those on my lev 80 and with only one shot I was D E A D before I even saw it. The overland should not have heroic mobs in it in mho because it becomes wasted content that gives little to no reward to groups in comparrison to the instance zones where most groups seek to hunt for treasure and or exp. Heroic overland encounters simply limit the solo or duo playstyle from exploring a new area and or experience encounters. I for one will not group to kill heroics overland; instead, I group for loot and exp. in instance zones only. The only time I will kill heroics overland in a group is when they are required to complete a heritage quest, other than that they are a waste of my time that could be spent in an instance zone.  </p><p>The population on my server is very low, hopefully soon I will be able to either form or join a group to do a few of the instances. Once most ppl get enough shards to buy what they desire I hope the interest will still be there to group in these instance heroic zones, however, I fear most will move onto the raiding zones leaving the instance zones as empty and forsaken as the older instance zones. The new zones were so huge SOE could have easily placed content for lev 50 solo and or duo players to do quest or adventure overland and still had enough room to include overland quest and adventure for lev 70-80 players.</p><p>I am very disappointed by the intentional misleading of the level of content within TSO. I really do like my bear mounts, one for each character was pretty cool. I probably would have purchased the expansion anyway for my lev 80 toons; however,  I do not like nor respect a company that will lie to me through false or intentional misleading advertisement  in order to get my $$$'s and this is NOT the path SOE should have ever taken or took if they intended or intend to bring new accounts to eq2 or to maintain the current subscribers that are within the game at present.</p><p>Tisk, Tisk, SOE shame on you!!! lol</p>

It doesnt mean that everyone wants to do that, they have to do that because there was nothing else.</p><p>It's kind of like saying that people from the Titanic love being on lifeboats because they were all (or as many as could fit) on lifeboats when the Titanic sank.</p>

The only time I will kill heroics overland in a group is when they are required to complete a heritage quest, other than that they are a waste of my time that could be spent in an instance zone.  </p><p>The population on my server is very low, hopefully soon I will be able to either form or join a group to do a few of the instances. Once most ppl get enough shards to buy what they desire I hope the interest will still be there to group in these instance heroic zones, however, I fear most will move onto the raiding zones leaving the instance zones as empty and forsaken as the older instance zones. The new zones were so huge SOE could have easily placed content for lev 50 solo and or duo players to do quest or adventure overland and still had enough room to include overland quest and adventure for lev 70-80 players.</p><p>I am very disappointed by the intentional misleading of the level of content within TSO. I really do like my bear mounts, one for each character was pretty cool. I probably would have purchased the expansion anyway for my lev 80 toons; however,  I do not like nor respect a company that will lie to me through false or intentional misleading advertisement  in order to get my $$$'s and this is NOT the path SOE should have ever taken or took if they intended or intend to bring new accounts to eq2 or to maintain the current subscribers that are within the game at present.</p><p>Tisk, Tisk, SOE shame on you!!! lol</p></blockquote><p>Link me a single press release or developer statment saying that TSO will have solo content for level 50 characters.</p><p>You will not be able to do that, because it does not exist. If it does not exist, that means they did not try and missinform you at all.</p><p>There were posts for about 3 months prior to release saying what content they have (zones that scale etc), and they have always aimed for 75+ with the outdoor zone. None of that has changed since SoE first mentinoed TSO. I am going to assume you read what they had published wrong, as that is the only explination for it. If this does turn out to be the case, it is your fault, and your fault alone.</p><p>SoE make enough mistakes as it is, there is no need to go blaming things they did not do on them as well.</p>

<p>Flaye please correct me if i am wrong, but I thought you dont even own tos yet? Thought you were getting it in december? If that is the case then you really have no business reacting to any post in regards to tos positives and negatives, as you have to frame of reference.</p><p>It's like the owner of a pinto doing a write up on the new corvette, just doesn't make sense.</p>

<p>From what i gather, the level range of the instance is similar to how Splitpaw works. I could be wrong though. Just last night my guild did the somborn cemetary stuff. We had a 76 in the group. The rest were 80s. Most of the mobs were blue to the 80s. However i went into befallen alone yesterday alone and noticed everything was 82 so i made a run for the door.</p>

<p>Not enough solo content to get above 150 AA any time fast. So are they saying I have to go back and do old content in order to reach at least 170 AA? Now I have to spend time doing grey quests and looking for pick up groups when my guild aren't on ...awesome fun.</p><p>Absolute joke - yes the main complaint about RoK was a lack of group content but serisouly - has anyone heard of balance?</p>

I did run 3 heroic instances, but by far most of the AA has come from MoY quests.</p><p>You can't swing a dead cat without hitting someone with a feather above their head.</p>
