<DIV>Choices are:</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Sturdy - Your durability is the stuff of legend. This trait makes you more robust by increasing your total health.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Stalwart - You recover easily from even the most grievous wounds. This trait increases the rate at which you regain health.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Centered - Your soul and your mind are one. This trait increases the reserves you have by increasing your total power.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Calm - You possess the discipline of a master. This trait focuses your mind and allows you to recover power more quickly.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>At first I was sure I wanted the HP boost. Then I realized I had just got a heal that had a fast reuse time on it, but costs 49 power to cast....So I'm not sure if i want to get more HP or more Power. Then there is the question of whether or not the regens work in battle. I don't think they do, but can anyone confirm this? Thanks for the help.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>-Dalodar</DIV> <DIV>22 Paladin </DIV> <DIV>Guk Server</DIV>

i could use a good answer to this myself :
I took Calm. It lowers downtime significantly. More power regen is great for us since we have our own heals, HP regen isn't a big deal, and a total HP boost is also pretty insignificant to me since I exclusively group with a Templar friend, so have the best healing available regardless of what other classes we pick up.Total pool increases are fairly minor and not worth it, IMO, but the power regen rate from Calm was definitely worth the buy. If I see a convincing argument to switch after the rollback, I may consider it, but as it stands, I think Calm was the best 22 ability as it halved my downtime.

<DIV>Where's the info about them resetting them? I hear about it, but never saw the post about it.</DIV>

I chose power regen for my warlock(2.5min30min). I believe it was the worst choice I could have made. I never cast it on myself unless I'm sprinting long diestances. I find decent crafted food and drinks provides all the regen (hp or power) I'll ever need. When I hit 22 I think I'll choose increase max power. They only reason I ever run from mobs while soloing is when I'm out of power and can't keep my damage output high enough.

<DIV>The regen is on all the time. Not sure if it only works during non combat or not. I chose power regen and havn't noticed a large difference.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Either go power regen or power increase.. without power we are sitting ducks.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV><FONT face="Comic Sans MS" color=#330099 size=4>- Bladezilla Killa - Sexiest Ogre Paladin.. Sheesh, at least you guys are getting to make the choice. I haven't been able to pick a trait thing in forever. <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

I bought Commune with Spirits (Kerra trait) and was very annoyed that it was a stupid 2.5 min buff with 30 min recast (ie. completely useless.) and thought Calm may be the same, but it wasn't.With generic water and Calm I regen something like 48 power a tick outside of combat last time I checked. I haven't really messed around with player foods since they don't have descs to say what is what yet, but I may well do so.

I picked the one to add hitpoints... We are tanks after all. Ever little bit is helpful.

<DIV>What's up I just made 22 paladin and didn't get a choice to pick a trait? Don't think I've picked a new trait since early teen levels in fact.</DIV>

<DIV>Same problem here. About to lvl to 23. Maybe then. :smileysurprised:</DIV>
I went with the permanent hit point increase. It was actually a decent increase, although I can't say how much. Power usually isn't an issue for me, and I'm often the MT for groups I'm in, so I figured that was my best bet.

<DIV>I chose Sturdy but only gave 25 health. In hindsight, should have gone for Centered. The extra buff during combat is going to save a lot more than 25 health points.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>And what is this about re-rolling the traits?</DIV>

Id pick the HPs...you can always just get good Drink or Food if you want faster regen.Course I cook my own food so Im biased hehe <img src="/smilies/283a16da79f3aa23fe1025c96295f04f.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

I picked the faster power regin. You can always heal yourself for more hit points if you have the power. My biggest problem has been turnaround -- takes awhile for things to regin. This seems to help.By the way, I'm pretty sure that in combat power regin is not completely turned off although it's certainly slowed way down. If I'm completely out of power and unable to do anything except the auto-attack, I can just use the auto-attack for awhile and eventually in that same encounter I'll be able to do something I hadn't been able to do earlier for lack of power. Every once in awhile that's a life saver in a really close fight.

Well whichever the next is I chose the extra stamina + out of combat regen, but it was one of those 2.5 minute buffs on a 30min timer. Can't tell you how bummed I was about that. Pretty much useless IMO, prolly shoulda chosen the summon lager, now even if that's on a 30min timer, at least you'll have a nice cold brewskie for your troubles. Oh well...

I'd choose between "increase total power" or "increase total health".Since we always have a healer when we group, I'd go for "increase total power". <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />
<DIV>Centered is best, but all choices are really incosequential.</DIV>
