Ok, if a Monk was dueling all the classes (not at the same time mind you) at the same level with about the same "class" of equipment, which classes would we just rock, which ones would we have troubles with and what classes would just own us? I have yet to duel anyone, but want to get some tips on each class before I start to. <div></div>

I ward for the initial damage, cure the DoT attacks, ward and start an assault on my own. As a Monk, I'd say Defilers are the ones you want to look out for. Mainly because your avoidance makes no difference to casters.

avoidance doesn't seem to make much of a difference to any class.  i've dueled guardians that parsed better avoidance pvp than me.  my impression is that burst damage wins melee pvp.  haven't dueled lately because i'm away from home, and the motel i live in has crappy internet.

Burst sometimes wins but.....Defilers go slow and steady.....I fear if the duel gets too hot......

<P>If you have good gear and know how to play your class Monks rock. I was 52 the other day and beat a 56 Coercer. Can beat just about any class as long as they are not too far ahead in lvl.</P> <P>As for dealing with casters, we have several stuns/stiffles, a shield for all types of magic at lvl 52, and interupts (taunts).</P>

<DIV>Try fighting a Warden, their dustorm knocks you back so much you just can't get in for more then one or two hits at a time.</DIV> <DIV>Then while you're getting back up they have time to heal themselves.  We don't have enough stuns and stifles to cover the time it takes to get back up and in range from the knockback.</DIV>

bleh temps and inqs give me the most trouble out of any class specially inqs with their crazy lockdowns and the plate armor makes them suck up damage quite well. not sure about others but really good clerics are the hardest for me to beat. pallies are also pretty tough fights other than that i dont really have many problems with other classes. <div></div>

<DIV>I think it can be summed up that we fare the worst when dueling healers.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>The only players that have ever beaten me were healers, including a paladin.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>a chanter beat me but he was like 5 levels over me, so that doesn't count.</DIV>

why healers??? all u have to do is deal them damage and make them use there mana to heal and as long as u have more mana in the end u will win.  oh yeah keep movin so they have to find u..  besides u have taunts to stop heals or other stuff they do...they dont do great damage. the one duel i fought was a cleric of same level as me and he gave up once he realize i was makin him use his mana and i had way more life then him.  everytime he healed it was gone the next second.

It can be hard.. yeah we dont have a lot of DPS, but if our power levels are good, we can make you work for your win.</span><div></div>
