I think making those hot keys are a necessity. Too many times have I pulled a raid mob to me and before I get my first taunt off some Rangers arrow comes flying by or some Wizzie want to toss out his uber nuke. As in EQ 1 the same rule applies here...establish aggro then call for the assist.

~~Vuk

http://antonicasnameless.eq2guilds.org

You might want to look into getting Blood Fire. It will give you more HP as a side benefit and the DoT may give you a small boost in your agro. Its the quest reward for completing Heart of Fear in CT.You mentioned a few adept 3s. Make sure that Shouting Cry is one of those. Its a teir 3 group agro spell and the highest one we can currently use on epic encounters. If a wizzy is letting a bomb loose at the beginning of the encounter then he deserves his armor repair bill.Starke

basically... just have your raid not go all out....use your taunts kno which mobs are ressistant to crushing/slashing/piercing choose a weapon that would suffice. If you lose agro with full taunting, its not your fault =P BLAME THE RAID!

My Shouting Cry is Adept 3, but on epic mobs I get the msg "Won't effect this mob" or something to that affect.

And I purposely got the Apedt 3 version for Shouting Cry for this reason, to use against epic mobs. But now the description at the bottom of the ability says "Does not work on epic mobs".

Dmg

Another good raid rule is that no one's power level goes below the mobs current hp total excluding mts, mas, and healers from this rule. If you can get your mages and rogues ( to a lesser extent ) to follow this rule, you will have less trouble holding agro once you establish initial agro.

your non damage aoe taunts will not go off if you are targeting a ^^^ you need to switch to a ^^ add for a split second and do your aoe taunt, then switch back to main raid mob and use the single taunts/taunting assault/taunting challenge

LOL don't make anyone wait till 50%... call an incoming message, get it, establish aggro, then call in ALL dps. Should take no more then 10-15 seconds to position mob and establish full aggro.

agreed with tuna (hmm seems to be all the time!) but you really gotta get a better weapon!

another thing that might help a lil is IF you have a power feeder like a coercer / illusionist might wanna use desperate rush uhm is this right i am referring to the ability that speeds ya up for 42% at adept 1 the t5 version! this will give ya some extra damage output....

this might not be nesecary tho if ya get like bloodfire which is stated b4 or even a fabled weapon from vox like the scourge that stifles mobs (AND YES EVEN EPICS).

oh the screaming mace is what i use during raids and yes it does hvae a detaunt on it but this is only a problem when we got a zerker in the raid he will pull agroe of me if i use the mace! otherwise it will give ya more power to keep spamming buffs / tautns / and some attacks like blast and ferocious charge (my personal favorite).

good luck wiht yer raids i hope ya have a great time and get some ubah phat loot to upgrade yer toon!

Shades 50 Kerran Guardian Lucandlere

Cloaked 35 gnome Defiler Lucandlere

Breezy 35 Dark Elf Coercer Lucandlere

You MUST HAVE a key that let poeple know when they can attak your target. Especialy when your doing an open raid. Poeple are usualy not that experienced with raiding in that kind of raid. So you must bu more cautionous with them.

But well in all raid I made the tank let us know when we can atack his target.

I am pretty sure the problem is not the taunt your using. But thats your teamate that attack target too early after you pulled.

I am fortunate to have the EBBC, but don't know if I should try welding this weapon in a raid situation.

Don't know how long I will last if I lose the stats from my shield.

Comments pls?

Dmg

I've come to the conclusion that for me at least, the EBBC is pretty much pointless. I think after the combat revamp and once you start to raid you'll be always using your shield. Either you'll be the main tank, or your'll be helping to off tank something, or you'll be guarding a healer DPS group. In this case you still want your shield because you have a very good stun/stifle that you can land even on darathar. And when the expansion comes out, we'll be fighting yellow-orange mobs agan and will be using a shield. So, if your a guardian and have some exping to do, go ahead and get the EBBC, or another two hander. I'd get it as soon as you can swing it. But once you hit 50, you'll want some type of fabled shield, your one handed prismatic, the screaming mace, and probably an ebon/fabled spear.
