Was on one accut, switched to another and then BACK to first account (busy alt day) and now can't get in game. Says user name and pasword wrong (which they are not), any thoughts?

Of course posting this....and I knew it would...resolved it.... Where's the delete message button!

Hey as long as its fixed right? We are having maintenance at the moment which might cause temporary interruptions but the services will stay up. If you run in to anything similar just give it a minute and try again.

I've been trying to log in all day from Station Launcher. What a joke! It continues to say "invalid username or password". Got some bozo on the phone...he could log in but couldn't explain why I couldn't. I've now changed my password which allows me to log into this account EQII - Players but still won't work on Station Launch.

This may be a good reason to cancel the account and spend more time in RL.

Please click Start > Control Panel > Internet Options > Advanced Tab > Scroll through the settings to the security section > Uncheck the box that reads "Do not save encrypted pages to disk" > Click Apply/OK. Restart the LaunchPad and try again. If that does not resolve the issue I would also recommend updating to our latest LaunchPad for Everquest which I've linked for you below. Get the full download version. You can direct it to install a new copy over your existing EQII game folder to avoid any re-downloading of the game files themselves.

[EQII] LaunchPad

There's something up with the login servers. We're looking at it now. We'll get that up asap.

I'm unable to log in too using the EQ2 launcher. Well, I managed to log in one after about 15 attempts to the preloading screen, but everytime I clicked "start game" I got "error code 2". So I restarted, and have been unable to log on since.

Since I can't get in either, I figured I try bypassing the launcher and just using the EXE file. I got to the game, but none of my characters were there. I can also log into LoN just fine so it's just the main game.

Not to suggest this is the issue, or even closely related, but I have been running the streaming client this past summer, and the asset cache shrunk dramatically over what it originally and noramlly had been. Its now in the neighborhood of 7 mb (yes, megabytes), where typically it was several gigabytes worth. At one point I had over 10 gb's streamed for the game client early in the process, and now its 1.37 gbs (one point three seven gigabytes). Something is odd.

My wife has tried all of these suggestions, and still gets the message, "You do not have a Everquest II account." She does, it is currently paid for, and she has been playing since the beginning of the game. She was playing on Friday, 11/4/11, and was kicked out of the game. Since then, she has had this message on the launcher after she has entered her station name and password each time she has tried to log on. She is Timon on the Oasis server.

I posted in another thread here that my network diagnostics showed that my login failures were due to problems at a major net hub in Chicago. That's resolved now apparently.

A problem at a bottleneck point like that could give headaches to people in lots of places.

-= Therendil =-
