I am having serious crashing problems which seem to happen most when I'm dual boxing. I have dual boxed for years now, with no real troubles, and now since the Everfrost Server downtime today I crash repeatedly. I have played with just a single account, and have crashed but for the most part now I seem to be ok. Whenever I login my 2nd account I crash minutes after. Over and over the same thing, I crash.

I have run a dxdiag, and will post the info below.

What launcher are you using? There was a recent change that won't allow the streaming or station launcher to run 2 iterations at once. If you are mostly stable running just one copy, it may be related to that. Try using the EQ2.exe file in your EQ2 folder (if it exists) and see if that makes a difference. Its the old launcher, which still supports multiple copies on the same computer.

Well I've been using both the dedicated EQ2 launcher that installs with the game, and the Station Launcher both. And both accounts each logged into the game from each launcher crashes.

I just looked in my EQ2 files, and don't see that launcher you speak of.

I dual box as well, but have two installations since the change. My issues have been happening with just one game instance running though. Crashed 6 or 7 times tonight, mostly in Gears BG, which sucks even worse because of the debuff and losing the tokens.

I tried again tonight after just giving up for a few hours tonight and for some reason it seems more stable now. I played for several hours dual boxing, and didnt crash except for while zoning once.

Okay scratch that, finally got back into a Gears game, completed it no problem, got back into another and client crashed on death. Was winning too, there goes three tokens.

And once again tonight, since 3 pm CST but not before, every time I accept entry into a BG zone I client crash.

Same thing for me. Two different accounts on different computers. Only one connected to eq2 at a time. A total of 3 crashes in under 2 hours. Both characters were in Ganak battleground when it happened. I won't crash 3 times in a month if not in the bg's.

Since you are all having similar issues, I want to try to identify the common denominator here.

DXDIAG file information (just the top 2 sections, system information and video/sound card information) would really help.

Also, are any of you using custom UI's and does the issue persist with the default EQ2 UI?

I've included an article below on removing your current custom UI. Please do not be mislead with the article title, I am not claiming that this is the cause but I do want to rule it out.

Answer Title: [EQII] Changing UI / using custom UI causing game crashAnswer Link: https://help.station.sony.com/cgi-b...p?p_faqid=25511
