At this point I'd rather be seeing screenshots of Everquest way back before Luclin came out. Back when the models were so primitive and the user interface was fixed. I liked that interface.

While I don't have screenshots, and I started after Luclin era (I started PoP era actually)

My personal favorite "story" if you can call it that is more just remembering fondly the first really MAJOR quest I finished. Iksar Shadowknight overarching quest. Final reward: Greenmist, the Unholy Khukri of Rile Sathir. mmm, Greenmist! Even after I replaced it with better weaponry, I still hauled it everywhere.

one of my first memoriable experiences in EQ in 2000 I was a level 34 high elf magician, my first character, and a new pet level. i was in a late night group with a bard and druid. We were tooling around Rathe Mountains doing hill giants auto-follow on the bard with selos, kiting giants while my pet beats on them and I nuke. About 10 minutes of killing stuff with just me and the bard, we figured out the druid went FDOK. So the bard had me wait while he went and parked the druid somewhere safe, so he said. As soon as the bard got back to camp the druid dies, OOPS is all the bard says. Thats also the time I learned not to sit during a pull, no matter how far the mob is away, if someone pulls with proximity aggro or without damaging the mob, the mob(s) will head straight for the person(s) sitting. So many 1 round deaths for a newbie undergeared, I was still wearing a lot of cloth armor and very little jewelry. Later, at level 44ish I got one of 2 mage DoTs when velious came out, I wound up spending a week (and gained only 2 levels, 1 was a hell level) in Rathe Mountains trying to save up plat for a froggie robe for 7kpp. All that time and I still didnt know what a guild was at the time. LOL. i didnt join a guild until I was level 36 I think when I learn I didnt need to open the book to med. LOL
