I am having the same problem. I can load into the title screen but not the world. It says "trying login server 1, 2, 3..." then goes back to character select. I have made a few new characters on different servers and none of them can log in either.

Would love to find a solution! Everything worked fine yesterday.

Greetings,

Generally this means that your firewall has stopped recognizing the game after an update. If you're using a firewall then please open the exception list for that program and delete any entries for Everquest2, EQ2, or launchpad. Then restart the launcher(right click and run as an admin if you're using Win7 or Vista) and select 'allow' whenever prompted. That should refresh the firewall entries and will correct the problem in most cases.

Yes, it was indeed the firewall. The voice chat server is what was being blocked apparantly, as when I disabled that, everything worked. Thank you for your help!

If this isn't being caused by a firewall, then a router would be the next most likely possibility. If you are using a router then please try bypassing it so that your computer is connected directly to the modem. If that fixes the problem then you will need to set up that router for port forwarding in order to continue using it. The following site has detailed information about how to do so:http://portforward.com/Simply select the router you're using, click the 'skip this advertisement' link, and then select Everquest 2 on the following list. That should present you with instructions on how to set up port forwarding on yoru router.

Greetings,

I'm not completely discounting that this could be related to the server in some way. That said, this board is for technical support and I can't modify the servers so I need to approach this from a computer problem perspective. Based on that, the only common links between the 2 computers would be the router, modem, and ISP. As such, my plan is to eliminate them as possible causes one by one. Removing the router from the loop is the easiest to eliminate so that is why I'm suggesting it. If you are positive that this has nothing to do with your computer then I would advise using the /bug command to submit a bug report instead.

Scratch that 3 Computers now with same issue 3 different location...

Reinstalled one and it did not fix a thing!!!!

3 different networks different routers, only thing all three networks have in common is the ISP which says they do not do port blocking..

Maybe sony should call them and beat ars cause this is getting real old

Great Plains Communications 1600 Great Plains Centre Blair, NE 68008

Phone 888.343.8014 Fax 402.426.6099 Email [email protected]

Ohh As stated before this didnt happen till last patch so what did SOE do ?????
