I am at the end of my rope here, ever since TSO launched my pc started random crashing with a pure virtual function call error. I have tried all of the fixes that you have suggested for the numerous other ppl who have had this problem(hard to find I might add).

But none have made a bit of difference.

I am still crashing 2, 3 4 and more times a night.

Do I have to give up the game? Its crazy how a game that worked fine can become so broken.

I am running Vista 32 bit With an AMD Quad core processor, 4 gigs, and a an ATI 3870 X 2.

Any help would be more than appreciated.

I am feeling a bit left out here.....

Pretty much every post made since I put this up has been anwsered but a TSR whats up with my issue?

Is this unfixable? Do I serioulsy need to give up on the game I have played for 4 years because it won't run on a decent computer. I know I am not the only one this is happening to there are 3 or 4 more in my small guild alone.

Greetings,

Sadly, I don't see anything that stands out in the information you provided. Sometimes this error can be caused by a corrupted C++ library, so you'll probably want to download/install the following file:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...&displaylang=en

If the crash persists, then you'll probably want to submit some more information. I'm looking for the Error reporting and running tasks sections of the MSinfo specifically.

I do appreciate the reply, I have already installed that product but I will reinstall and I will see if I can post the error messages you have requested.

It seems odd to me that a game that ran perfectly stable for 7 months on this pc all of a sudden became the poster child for crashing with one update, and there is no anwser for a fix.

Again thanks for looking and I will get you more info.

Greetings,

You have quite a few running tasks there and it's possible that a one of those may be conflicting. Let's try disabling most of those programs temporarily to see if the issue persists.

To disable background programs:1. Select the START button.2. Select RUN, then type in "msconfig" (for Vista, type msconfig in the search bar at the bottom of the Start Menu)3. Press OK4. Select the STARTUP tab.5. In the list, uncheck all boxes EXCEPT for SCANREGISTRY and SYSTEM TRAY. If you use Windows XP, please note that SCANREGISTRY and SYSTEM TRAY will not be listed - just uncheck the entire list.6. Hit apply and then OK. Restart the computer and try the game again.

Besides that, make sure these programs are completely disabled as well:

AVG antivirusSpybotsuperantispyware

If there is a conflict then those programs seem like the most likely culprits.

I have done as you suggested and the game has continued to crash as it did before.

AS I have already mentioned I ran eq2 on this exact pc running all of these exact processes for 8 months before you released TSO. The first day I started playing TSO was the first day it started doing this, just like the dozens of other people I have talked to that have told me the same thing.

TSO has caused a problem with tons of users and we need some help.

If you have any other ideas I would be glad to try them out.
