Opening EQ2 problems

<p>Hi,</p><p>I am having a problem opening EQ2. When i push the big red (PLAY) button, it starts loading then an error come up saying " Everquest II has detected an unrecoverable error and must shutdown.</p><p><verify></p><p>E:/live/eq2/framework/core/devices/src/DirectX9RenderDevice.cpp</p><p>(1246):</p><p>DirectX Error. (D3DERR_NOTAVAILABLE)</p><p>0097bf23</p><p>That is basically what its saying, im not sure what the problem is. If anyone could help me out with this problem it would really be helpful so i can go back and enjoy my days in EQ2. Thanks again!</p>

<p>I too am having the same problem, not sure why it is looking for E Drive though...this is my CD Rom Drive letter.</p><p><span style="font-size: x-small;"></span></p>

Follow the stickied post on what and how to post</p>

<p>The DXdiag information would definitely be helpful.  The first section should contain most of the info we're looking for. </p><p>The error is indicating a directx file so a graphics card issue would be my first guess.  You'll probably want to reinstall directx 9.0c and check for any driver updates.</p>
