Hi,

I am having a problem opening EQ2. When i push the big red (PLAY) button, it starts loading then an error come up saying " Everquest II has detected an unrecoverable error and must shutdown.

E:/live/eq2/framework/core/devices/src/DirectX9RenderDevice.cpp

(1246):

DirectX Error. (D3DERR_NOTAVAILABLE)

0097bf23

That is basically what its saying, im not sure what the problem is. If anyone could help me out with this problem it would really be helpful so i can go back and enjoy my days in EQ2. Thanks again!

It is not looking for anything on your e drive, there is an informational message to pinpoint the location in the code.

It would help if you each used seperate trheads and posted teh dxdiag information on the system. Follow the stickied post on what and how to post

The DXdiag information would definitely be helpful.  The first section should contain most of the info we're looking for.

The error is indicating a directx file so a graphics card issue would be my first guess.  You'll probably want to reinstall directx 9.0c and check for any driver updates.
