For each affected target, the shadowknight's armor mitigation is increased.

The spells in this line no longer increase mitigation based on the number of targets affected. This has been broken since GU44, although there is nothing in the patch notes that state a change was being made to the Devouring Mist line.

Please post here if you are also experiencing this bug. Note: this is in response to this post from Gobrin in a different thread.

Gnobrin wrote:

Instead of posting questions to be answered, how about specifying the exact issues that you're having (in detail if you can, please), so they can then be broguht to the attention of the dev team? If you demand answers, those questions are RARELY answered. If you have constructive information to an issue that you're witnessing ingame about a class or specific ability and you're able to voice that issue, you may get the attention you desire.

~Gnobrin!

Aye, Devouring Mist is bugged. I am experiencing the same problem with the spell. It is not working as per the spell discription, since GU44.

Unless, of course, it has been nerfed. It which case it may be working as intended

I am also experiencing this bug.

It started occuring since the buff icon was moved to the beneficial buff section in GU44.

Previously when the spell was cast it put a debuff on each of the mobs in the targetted encounter (that did not resist). It also placed a buff in the detrimental spells window for each mob that did not resist. Each of these buffs added the amount listed in the spell description to mitigation. These buffs only lasted as long as the mob that failed the resist or the duration of the spell whichever came first. The current single buff we recieve in our beneficial spells window appears to last for the entire duration of the spell regardless of whether the encounter is defeated or not.

I have re-read the patch notes for GU44 and there was no mention of any changes in the spells section related to this spell. It was not noted that the icon would be moving or that it would not function as it did previously.

As stated in several different thread in both this forum and the Developer Feedback forum, yes we are all experiencing this bug.

From Test Patch notes today:

ShadowknightDespoiling Mist line should once again apply the same number of mitigation buffs as members of the encounter.

Thank you SoE for looking into and correcting this, look forward to it going to live soon!

Can't wait for that patch to hit- that fix, plus more bank slots for everyone, and a nice perk for Chardok where folks can use the flightpost if anyone in the group has it. Very nice.

Woot! Glad to see this is fixed on Test Server, such a useful feature of the spell...

It's nice to see the Mods and Dev's are listening.

I am hopeful they will address our class balance issues (vs. the other plate tanks) soon as well.

Huzzah! Now if we can only get the devs to fix Death March and look at a few other issues!

Glad this is fixed!!!But before we get all mushy about the devs giving SK some love, we have to remember, this should never have been broken to begin with. I don't think this was a spell that most SK had problems with. So basically, we get a spell fixed and a fun spell fix (how many of us actually use the squire?) with this GU. Don't get me wrong, I love the changes, I like that Mist continues after the mob dies, but there are many, many more issues that need fixing. I for one want to see something else before I start cheering.

I dont know why everyone is excited, or was up in arms over this in the first place

For a raiding sk, the mitigation benefits from fighting multiple mobs was non existant anyway, since very few encounters have multiple mobs
