View Full Version : Potions seem a little weak?

I'm not in game at the moment to check exact numbers, but if my memory serves me well, mastercrafted health potions seem to return roughly 5% of a players health, and mastercrafted power potions give barely enough power to cast one large heal spell. Especially considering the long recast timer on these (nearly 3 minutes), the effect seems awfully weak. Barely worth carrying imo, let alone collecting the dusts and taking the time to craft them. Any opinions?

Yes they really need to take a look at the potions and revamp them. Healing for 200 or less hitpoints with a healing type potion when you have over 1,000 hitpoints dont help much. I can see why they do this with the healing potions but all potions really need to be looked at.

Healing potions are supposed to be a last ditch effort to keep you alive, not a Warden-in-a-bottle. Somethign to give you an edge, not double your hit points.

Well they would be interesting if changed to a 10% heal with a 30min reuse, for both the power and health potions.

You mean nerf potions? They're only good for 1-shot during a fight anyway, because of the re-use.

My alchemist doesn't even bother making them and concentrates on poisons and buff potions.

Healing potions are very weak considering their cast time. By time you wait out the cast time, you take more damage than the potion will heal. Would be nice to see something improved with heal potions. Perhaps lowering the casting times would help. Not sure increasing their overall effectiveness would be balanced.

I think lowering the cast times to instant and slightly raising the effects would fix them without making them overly powerful. Ask yourselves this devs... how long does it take you to drink something the volume of around a shot glass? I don't drink alchohol, but I do use the shot glasses just for the heck of it sometimes, and I can down an entire one in a single gulp.

Granted, popping the little cork off could take some time, so make the cast times... .3 seconds or something low like that. That is all.
