Unless you're fighting yellow or higher mobs, dont bother with the +piercing ones. If its white con or lower, you want damage (or power/hp taps)

k, now for the next thing, Ive heard something about it effecting the proc, depending on the hand you have it in.

So lets say Im using the +5 peirce and the 300 DD proc, will there be any difference if I have the 5 peirce in main hand , and proc in the off hand ??

Equip the weapon with the highest damage range and highest delay in your main hand. Ideally this will be grinning dirk of horror, a 20-200 range weapon with a big delay (!). Adornments effect DPS a lot less than putting the right weapon in the right hand. To answer your question : the best adornments are +5 piercing (skill) and the T7 power stealing proc (phantom something), both fabled adornments. If you are poor or know you will upgrade your weapons go with +12 piercing (damage) on your main hand and +300 DD magic proc on offhand.

All the proccing adornment do terrible DPS. Just get the +skill, +dmg or power tap as you see fit. If you use the +pierce one make sure it's on the primary hand weapon. I think I had a huge zone parse one time and the runic temper did like 15k of dmg. heh. Worthless.

Which imo, would be just the same in the off hand

Sorry there's two pierce ones: +12 pierce *damage*, and +5 pierce *skill*. The damage one has to be in primary to add to your CAs. The skill one, it doesn't matter. I'm currently using +12 pierce dmg on my primary and the power tap on the secondary, trying it out.

Why does everyone like the power proc adornments so much? There's not too many fights that I find myself low on power, as usually have a power regen class in group, and I'll usually switch over to mental breach if I know it's going to be a real long fight. Is there something I'm missing about those adornments?

Switching to mental breach = huge hit to DPS. With one power tap adornment on my offhand, I have noticably better power usage through long fights. I still run out but it takes longer. In KOS I wouldn't bother, but in EOF there are a few fights where it has been useful. I'm debating putting a power tap adorn on my DoN and switching my RoD (normal 2nd hand) to +5 pierce.

I raid alot, so this is why Im really considering a power tap.

But to add to all this, this is where having a third fabled weapon comes in very handy. Have your 2 main ones with the most dps possible, and the third fabled with the power tap to switch out while raiding...or something along those lines.

That is what I'm thinking. I can't decide if the +12 pierce damage or +5 pierce skill is better for the GDoH, though.
