<p>I did not think this was possible in EQ2. I know it was a common thing to do in EQ1 when someone got [Removed for Content] at a group or person he would just run around argo as many mobs as he could and run into a group and FD or just die himself and leave the group to deal with all the mobs.</p><p>But I swear a conj, trained me last night. I just cant figure out how he did it. Pulled a mob into us while we were fighting. then we had to deal with the extra mob. Is this possible at all here??</p>
<p>Yes, it is sort of possible. </p><p>What a lot of them do is just aggro a mob, and bring it to the group. If the group is full of people who don't know, or fighting mulitple mobs, the there will be someone that kicks off an AOE. All of a sudden, you just aquired the new mob.</p><p>Is this allowed? No Does it happen? many, many times, if you get in a farmer's way.</p><p>And most of the time, they will keep on doing it until either you leave, or they get reported and removed.</p>

I'm pretty sure some classes have the ability to charm mobs then break the charm wherever they want. They could grab a mob and park it next to your group then break the charm and the mob will attack the group. I am sure it is against the rules but it happens. At least that's what I have heard people do to bots <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> I don't know if it is still possible to do this but I think so.

<p>Aye. I used to do just that Bramwell back when I tried to get my Ydedadh's caduceus or however you spell it from living tombs. There was a wizard for a week straight and his name was randomized something like Ujietsse or something like that who'd just nuke all the grey cons and kill the named that I was after over and over. That eventually ticked me off so much that I started charming the ^^^heroic spectres and breaking the charm next to him and he'd usually get 1 to 2 shotted b4 he could react. </p><p> After 2 days of pulling that stunt he stopped camping that spot and I was finally able to get the staff I wanted. No doubt this guy was farming the drops probably to sell it on ebay or something. Did I enjoy doing that? Of course not but it was the only sensible option left after I had reported him about 8 times with no assitance from GM's.</p>

Actually managed to kill a bot during a scripted play session once doing something similar to this. It was a wizard standing on a rock in TT in the middle of the forward group of blood-bloom mobs on the main island. They would target a bloom, nuke it with a specific rotating set of spell casts, then await another mob to enter their casting range. Auto-target. Rinse, repeat. The bot was surrounded by chests of all shapes and size and bodies that just rotted. I'd gather up a bunch of nearby mobs and run into his range and he'd helpfully nuke them all for me. Eventually we confirmed the toon was running on a script. I flew out to Breeding Grounds and charmed one of the big ^^^ wyrms over there and brought him back to the main island as my pet. I brought him near the wizard who was auto-nuking another blood-bloom. I broke charm and immediately stunned and rooted the wyrm which made him "my" encounter and had him aggro on me. I backed off while the angry wyrm stood there, stuck. Sure enough, when the wizard finished off the blood-bloom he immediately detected my wyrm (a targettable NPC) in his casting range and let fly with the nukes. I broke root and the wyrm promptly ate him. Made me wish I had FRAPS running at the time. I recharmed the wyrm and politely dropped him back off on his home island.

People that do that scripted play thing annoy me about as much as the pet classes who put their pet on auto defend, and place themselves near a green or low blue mob spawns once every 3-5 mins after last kill... Mob spawns, attacks player, pet attacks mob, mob dies eventually, gaining xp for the player. Meanwhile, the player is at Wal-mart doing his Christmas shopping...getting level'd up.

The Encounter only AE's do not impact this process.
lol I had a farmer do that to me once while I was killing off his mobs in silent city. He was a necro of course and I a conjurer. So I demonstrated just how much his class sucked by doing a quick wack the pet for full heath pulling out my hydro pet, take even more of his mobs and then kill em all with aoe's and laughed at em. Then I sent some at him only he didn't fair as well. <img src="/smilies/97ada74b88049a6d50a6ed40898a03d7.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />

<p>I miss the days of my cleric being able to send farmers back to their home city with Odyssey. There used to be no confirmation boxes.</p><p>It was funny because you'd see them take off when I had them target and I was casting a spell.</p>

Very much so possible...if you find a mob that is the same type of mob the person is fighting and they are "Social" creatures they will begin attacking that person. Had some [Removed for Content] do this to me in TT and admit he was doing it in /ooc and petitioned and of course nothing happened. So much for the "play nice" policy. Btw the reason he did it...got ticked I was a necro and could harvest a ? while my pet fought, nevermind I was the only one near the shiny at the time. Totally a case of class envy..sigh.

The mob does not "reset" for me when charm breaks, intentionally or otherwise. When I drop charm the mob makes a beeline for me unless some other hostile action tags it. Even mobs that I've charmed that are normally non-aggro will attack when charm is broken, which is a pretty strong indicator to me that mob retain their hate list after charm is broken.

<p>I dont think so.</p><p>One on one I can get my daughters to do most anything I tell them.</p><p>But when they bond together as a threesome it seems my words are deflected by a shield of sisterhood. I usually retire to my room and curl up on the bed in a fetal postion.</p><p>So in my experience it is NOT possible to train a group.</p>
