<div></div><div>Maybe its just me, I don't know, thats why im posting here. But as for my self I really don't like the times they are droping the servers at the moment. 2:30 am is right in the middle of my gaming time. Now i understand that maybe there are other ppl that play at 5:00am or 6:00am but i never once saw them complain on here, so im hoping we can get enough ppl to say something so that we can have these times changed back to the way they were befor. Now if this is a temparay thing, all is good. I understand with the new expation coming out (KoS) that there is somethings that must be addressed asap. I totaly respect that. All im saying is this is my main time to play and maybe others. Not trying to be a selfish little brat or nothing but dang it i wana play!! <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> So, I was figuring posting on here might also let ppl see that there not the only one that is having a problem with the new down times... Well, thats the jest of it. Thanks for your time.</div><div> </div><div>Lionnoo 55 Guardian on Oasis</div><div>Trence 38 Troubador on Oasis</div><div> </div>

<div></div><p>I'd have to agree. It's early morning on the easy coast and late night on the west coast and I've heard nothing but complaints about the new early time lately. I don't really have a lot to say about it, but ... maybe as a compromise some nights can be this new time and other nights can be the old time? Even that would be better. Thanks!</p><p>Catia - Level 41 Templar/ 27 armorer</p>

<div></div>They're dropping the servers early this week because there's servers being consolidated every day.  Server moves take a long time so they're trying to do it without 8 hour down times during the day.  I applaud them for thinking it through and doing it this way.  Sorry it gets your goat , but it's for the best for the majority of players.  Keep in mind is only for one week.

Last night it said the time the servers were to go down, and for how long, for those not in that time zone (I live in New Zealand) it's hard to figure out how far away the shut down is, after all there's daylight saving to allow for etc. I even have one of my PCs set to EST to help me figure out when raids are going to be, but EQ2 does not give time is EST, so it really doesn't help. The warning given last time ended up being only about 1/2 an hour, far too short. The night before the warning did say how far away the shut down was and it was 14 minutes! Can we not get some consistancy? Say a 2 hour warning, stating that there are 2-hours remaining, then warnings each 1/2 hour until a 15 min and 5 min warning?Surely this can be easily automated, to say the time the server will go down, also saying how far away that is, and the estimated downtime?</span><div></div><p>Message Edited by retro_guy on <span class="date_text">02-17-2006</span><span class="time_text">05:25 PM</span></p>

We know that it's going to be the wrong time for *SOMEONE* but there's not anything they can do about that. Take an hour to clean your room or take a shower, brush your teeth, change your clothes... somthing. </p>

<div>I agree that downtime is inconvenient but a necessary evil.  However, I agree with an earlier post(s) that it would be nice if Sony could achieve something called consistency regarding times.  There are several places that list when downtimes will occur and for how long.  Of course to expect the time to be "exact" is perhaps expecting too much, but some consistency would be nice.  For example, for servers that are not scheduled for merges, one page says if a quickfix is necessary the servers will come down at 2:30 am PST; otherwise at 3:00 am PST.  Yet the notice "in-game" alerts people that the servers will be down at 2:30 for one hour - two hours later they're still not up. </div><div> </div><div>I understand that there are a lot of changes occuring; however, one would think it's not rocket science to have similar, consistent information.  Sometimes one site will say one thing and another site something else.  Maybe one area for the times would be easier for Sony to update with accurate information. </div>

<div>Over two and a half hrs. and still down for non-merger servers.  I agree re: real-time information as well.  There haven't been too many other games that I haven't tried.  We started EQ2 on the suggestion of a friend.  To date we have rallied several family and friends to join us as well.  Even though server downtimes are not unusual on other games, I have to say this is the worst game I've played in terms of accurate reliable information from the officials that should be relaying this information. </div><div> </div><div>A lack of consistent accurate information would "seem" a hallmark of a professional organization that has some semblence of care for its customer base; other than receiving their money. I'm not liking the message I'm receiving.  We and our group of friends and family are off to other worlds. </div>

<div></div><p>C'mon, you know you love waiting to come back after a 2 hour downtime when its hour 4.</p><p>Yup, they really need to work on consistency and definitly more accurate downtime estimations.....they are right maybe half the time if that...</p>

<div>Bah, you guys are getting me all wrong, i wasnt "complaining about it" so much as wondering if there was a lot of other ppl that played around the sametimes I do. Just trying to find the best time to do the downtime. If it is at 2:30am PST that the least amout of ppl play, so be it. I was just wondering, i know that we must have a time to kill the servers for normal mantince and what not, and totaly understand that. Just wondering if 2:30 am PST was the best time... thats it. :smileysad:</div>

<div>Ok, now I know that they have to drop the servers and all that... BUT WHATS WITH NO WARNING AT ALL!!! I mean come on! Its 2/17/06 at 2:30am PST and they just droped the server not once saying when it would be droped or how long it would be.... I think thats out of line, imagon how many ppl where in mid group deep in Living Tombs or even worse Silent City or Piller of Flames or any of the crazy aggro zones.. I know death dosent really matter now cuz of what they did, but thats just plane and simply rude IMO. :smileymad:</div>

<div></div>I am seriously getting fed up with the lack of customer support here. I love this game, no doubt, and my guild is cool as [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn], but SOE support.... lame. Why even call it that? Its not support at all. In fact, you might as well tell them all to go home they are fired, it will save you some money SOE! Isnt that what you want? money?

i for one like the 2:30 am pst downtime. for me that's 5:30 am est. the other time of 7am pst puts the downtime at 11am est, right in the middle of my play time. i've dealt with this since launch, except for the short time in which they did it around 4am pst. no matter what time they do it, it will make people mad.<div></div>
