<div></div><div>is the class selection at level 1 the only good thing to come out of LU19?</div><p>Message Edited by cultus_ferox on <span class="date_text">02-09-2006</span><span class="time_text">04:21 PM</span></p>

Then go play something else. I think the game keeps getting better.<div></div>

<div></div><p>I agree with you Magus.  I rolled a new character on the new island and had a blast doing new quests, etc.  There seem to be new storylines too but I wasn't sure since I rolled a char on the Freeport side and normally am aligned with Queynos.  This game gets better and better. </p><p>I have mixed emotions about crafting but I will level up a bit before passing judgement. </p><p>Way to go SOE.  Super game.</p>

<div></div>The new raid setup tools are very nice. Allowing the raid leader to move group members around is a huge improvement.

<div></div><p>Aye. This game gets better each update.</p><p>That was very productive Test feedback that I'm sure will go a long way to shaping EQ2's future.</p><p>Thanks.</p>

This game is certainly improving, but SOE missed their chance. I'm out once Vanguard is released.<div></div>

With the current state of vanguard it's hard, if not impossible, to tell how "good" it's going to be. I'm sure it'll have unbalanced classes/items/etc, since most mmog's have that. Thinking a game like vanguard won't have nerfs like this is both highly amusing and very unrealistic.</span><div></div>

<div></div><div>It would be ironic if Vanguard drew in like 1,000,000 WoW kiddies who then were able to overwhelm the hardcore crowd with their l33t whining skills and get Vanguard nerfed.</div><div> </div><div>In all seriousness, though, that could really hurt the game - if Vanguard siphons off hundreds of thousands of players from WoW, but they don't stick around since the game is too hard for them, it could cause a rapid inflation and then deflation of the game's population, which means either they dump a lot of cash into new servers, which wouldn't be recouped or they suffer through periods of instability and lag brought on by overpopulation. Neither is a particularly good situation to be in.</div>

<div></div><div></div>Dont get me wrong I love this game, but its going downhill fast. I spend more time on the Vanguard site than playing EQ2, sad but true. It's almost as if SOE changes lead designers every other month or something.<p>Message Edited by Feanoras on <span class="date_text">02-10-2006</span><span class="time_text">05:09 PM</span></p>

<div></div>What is the release date of Vanguard btw?  I haven't done much research into the game other than what I read on these boars.

Vanguard will certainly have it's share of issues. However they can't be any worse than what SOE has already given us. Anyways LU 19 isn't a huge deal, it's LU 20 which is being released at KoS's launch.Any input would have to be directed at LU 21.<div></div>

<div>One thing about Vanguard, if the first three years of EQ1 are any indication:</div><div> </div><div>When the nerf bat swings, it will be hard and unforgiving, and no amount of complaining will reverse the decision.</div>

<div></div>I agree, the game is only getting better. By all means go try out Vanguard, I love trying out new games myself. The servers will still be here when you come back after realizing that Vanguard is more job than game. Unless you like pure time sinks, then that will be the game for you. I think EQ2 has hit that fine balance between way to easy WoW and way to hard Vanguard. Take it from someone who has played all three.

<div></div><div>to the OP</div><div>what exactly makes that good?  Oh you mean so botters can get there bots/alts/toons higher level quicker without having to worry about doing a few quests to pass a cap?</div><div> </div><div>god forbid theres some challenge or immersion in the game.  I had a buddy that just started playing and i told him too bad he just missed out on doing class advancements and the isle ect.  They drain this game of all originality and make it more like wow every day.  Heck interdependancy was unique, and awesome.. they snatched that out too.</div>

Yeah, I'm worried Vanguard will be all about Timesinks. I don't have 7 hours a day to commit during a play session anymore. With that said I'll never buy another SOE product except for the EQ2 expansions.<div></div>
