The dev's 'owe' us nothing. We can complain, whine, present logical and reasoned data, well constructed posts - it matters not. If they consider there's an issue they might put it on their huge list of things to do and inform us when they are ready. Although I believe there's an imbalance, to be perfectly honest, the state of this class is not a big issue for them. The only place the imbalance really shows up is in well constructed raids. That's a pretty low %age of unhappy people when compared to the overall health of the game and even the class. Posts like this are not going to get much attention from a Dev. M.

They are free to ruin their own lands if they so desire. Rangers no longer have a place in this game because they dont want them to have a place. Thats the only conclusion you can draw.

If you want to get all your master spells from L57 to L70 in this game you have to be evil aligned as the good aligned spells rarely ever drop and when they do the pirce is so high you cant afford them. That right there is a message of where the development teams head is at. They want everyone in the game to quit Qeynos and join Freeport and it doesnt matter what Freeport class you play you can count on the development team to hand everything to you with little or no work. You will have more dps, you will have more master spells and you will have the full support of the development team.

Coarcers rock, Chanters suck

Bruisers rock, Monks suck

Dirges rock, Troubadors suck

Assasins rock, rangers suck

Inquisitors rock, Templars suck

it goes on and on. get used to it.

I'm just confused. Are you saying that if you, personally leave EQ2, it will cause some kind of domino effect with scores of other players leaving, and EQ2 as a whole will be crippled for all other players? I don't understand...

The "evil classes rock, good classes suck" idea is ridiculous. Most of those you listed don't suck at all. (Monks, are you kidding me??)

While I understand the frustration behind the OP, that's about the least likely method of getting a response that you can use. The Devs are unlikely to respond to angry demands; think of the precedent it would set. They're not going to show up like abashed children and listen to us admonish them for their wayward behavior.

Did you mean Coercer? if so, How can a coercer rock, if an enchanter sucks? As a coercer is an enchanter If it goes on and on, does this mean defilers "rock" and mystic's "suck"? Sk's "rock" and Paladins "suck "? If your going to post about things sucking and owning, the least you could do is to look up your classes and get your [expletive haxx0red by Raijinn] straight you nooblet

They don't owe us an explanation, though it sure as hell would be nice. Of course I don't know what they would say"Well guys, the Devs were sitting around the office one day and John said that if we made a marginal dps class with no utility that required a lot skill/effort to play and was also very expensive that there would still be people that would play it regardless. Well I disagreed, so we got to arguing and finally we made a bet. That was just before LU #20. Well thanks to Jay42 I am out 20 bucks to John."

Here is my 2 cp worth: I own and opperate my own business. I provide a service to my customers. If the level of my service is becoming sub standard I get questioned by my customers and If I dont want to lose those customers I give them the explanation they require or I lose them. I am the customer here and I for one deserve an explanation for a lack luster experience with their product. They can choose to not give one and thats ok but dont expect me to put up with it. Our biggest problem is that SOE has too many customers to care about a few thousand of us unfortunate ones. If a few of us leave big deal there are a few more around the corner. SOE will never care until it hurts their bottom line. Never the less I the customer deserve some answers. For those of you who feel you dont deserve answers have too much time and money to spend to care anyway. When a few thousand rangers quit overnight thats an impact they will look at. But who am I kidding that will never happen and SOE will ignor you forever.

It's silly to think that the devs are purposely messing over any class. They want all the classes to play as they intended them too, it may or may not be what all the players want, but such is life.

Devs don't typically respond well to demands. The only thing that they owe anyone, is to do their job to the best of their ability.

And, as stated in the forum rules, things that devs are mostly likely not going to respond to:

Threads addressed to a “Red Name” or "devs." If we responded to them, then you would see hundreds of posts trying to get our attention this way. Threads with a name in the title will almost never see an official response.

And with that, I'm going to have to lock this thread.
