View Full Version : Will we lose cheap shot and evasion?

<div></div>I would assume we keep both of them.  Cheap shot is an essential skill for a lot of rangers, especially at lower levels (pre 30ish).  If they do anything with Elude, I hope it's that they give it a longer range so it might actually be used at the higher levels.

<div></div><div>yes. but if SOE ever wants to pull streight the classes for PVP (dont eat me - im not saying its right) they will have to get rid of cheap shot. its just too great a skill and makes the scout quitte invinsible. perhaps they can make it like charm: not when citizen of Queynos - Freeport or City betrayer. so it wouldnt be use-able in PVP but it would be in soloing. allso - they could give us one with a longer cast time and a longer stun time. anyways. beeing a ranger. i think SOE should keep our one and only stun alive. or give us a new one <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /></div>

<div></div><p>ah yeah? well about 2 classes i know can get resistant to stun (i probably know lots not but meh) which are  templar and shadowknight - at the time they have been able to activate that we can have cheapshotted em 6 times (0.5s cast i believe). then its triple arrow - sharp shot and baybay matey (if ye have a decent bow - poison - arrows - and spell lvl). OFC they can pre-activat these skills - without a doubt ey can, i cant say anything to that, but thats 2 classes who can get resistant - 22 to go....(mebbe less if im wrong). by that - I didnt say theyd kill cheap shot - littleman did...im only sugegsting stuff...</p><p>well - if they loose cheap shot i think stiffle stun poisons will get helluvalot more populair <img src="/smilies/3b63d1616c5dfcf29f8a7a031aaa7cad.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />..(regardless rangers will still be quitte uber in duels - but o well....)</p><p> </p>

According to a <a href="http://eqiiforums.station.sony.com/eq2/board/message?board.id=a13&message.id=8643" target="_blank">dev post</a> in the alchemy forums, they'll be introducing stun/stifle break potions. <div></div>

<div>No we don't lose either skill. However they are renamed so the icon on your hotbars after this change goes live will not work till you replace it with the one in you skills book. At least thats the way it is for cheap shot, cant say for evasion since I use Elude.</div>

I agree, I never saw anything that said, hey btw were changing all the "skill and spell lines" I don't think cheap shot is in any danger of being removed. If it was I would be shocked silly, as my scout type REQUIRES it to solo well.<div></div>

What they are talking about is the fact that all scouts will get distinct skills for their own line starting on the island. What they are asking is, will the scouts all have a stun named more towards their line (maybe working somewhat differently) or are they dropping it for something else, etc.All your spells will be wiped from 1-20 as you won't be a scout/predator anymore. You will start out a Ranger. As for those of us who are high-level, Cheap Shot is the only one that would affect us.

Some tanks just aren't equiped with the taunting power to hold aggro after I unleash a single triple shot... hell I have pulled aggro with a single flaming shot...</div>

<div></div>LOL, of course they're not going to wipe out whole spell lines, regardless of when they originated. That'd be ridiculous. Cheap Shot will probably just get a different name for the post-20 version, but I've seen nothing that indicates any changes to characters over 20 besides possible cosmetic updates (renamed skills).

But cheap shot is not THE stun ya know, nor its THE thingy in PvP. We dont even need to be stunned in order to loose a duel.
