Low 20's Weapons

<DIV>My Ranger is currently 21  and wielding 2 willowwood hunting daggers.  I just read that it is a good idea to use a DW slash and a pierce to keep both skills maxed.  I should have thought of this since I am an old EQ player.  Anyway, I quested one and bought one, but now I am thinking I will sell one and pick up a slash item.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Last I read here was that using 2 willowwoods (1 slash 1 pierce) was the best option in the low 20's.  Is this still the case or has anyone found a better combo?  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Thanks</DIV>

<DIV>I used both Willow Wood weapons until I outgrew them- one slashing and one piercing.  I think at level 20 I started using a Deathbringer Stiletto and a Woven Cuirbolli Whip, stilletto piercing and whip slashing.  Im not quite sure what Im going to use at 30... thinking about Feysteel Stiletto for piercing and Feysteel Hatchet for slashing.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I also started using Firwood Short Bow around level 20, i upgraded from the Willow Wood Bow.  I finally finished my quest for the Stormfire last night, that thing is [expletive ninja'd by Faarbot]in haus. </DIV>

<DIV>I'm using 2 Prestine forged carbonite sabers and I'm at level 22 (stats: Damage 4-13 with 1sec delay / Agi+3, str+3, health+12, power+<img src="/smilies/b2eb59423fbf5fa39342041237025880.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" />. A weaponsmith in my guild made them for me for 14silver a piece. <DIV>Its a series of quests that start from Sir Valinayle in sh.  You have to kill something like 20 mobs seven times and like 4 named mobs, ending with the level 26++ mob Lord Gydak by all the goblins.</DIV>

<DIV>Halfway thru 20 right now...</DIV> <DIV>DW'ing with a Dagger of Disease and a Dragoon Dagger.  Ranged using a Pristine Conditioned Ash Long Bow.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Used to do that gig with one slash/one pierce...but, looking down the road, it seems we're slanted more towards Piercing weps, so am not concerned about only skilling up Piercing now. </DIV>
