There's another pet agro thread up right now, but this is an entirely different issue, so I wanted to make a separate thread.Up until two days ago or so I used the following method to kill unstunnable mobs with a high-dps pet:Locate a pet, isolate it and mez it. Pull the mob I need to kill (named, generally, to be worth this trouble).Charm the pet.Debuff, root, and get a safe distance/out of line of sight away.Attack with the pet. When root breaks, recast before getting mowed down, clear off to a safe distance again. Now, what would happen here is that because the pet was not charmed until after the mob was agrod, it was counter to the game's coding to allow this pet to tank. An extremely annoying thing about charm, frankly, but I'd found this way to work with it, at least. This has *always* worked since the change of charm a dozen LUs ago (maybe even before that), so it wasn't just a random occurence. I'm sure most of you have noticed it happening and were probably aware of the sequence of events that caused it to happen (charm after engage). Two days ago I was attempting this, and I had to go through six pets to kill a mob that I generally have little issue with, as the pet would instantly pull agro and explode. This has been the norm since that day, I can no longer force a pet to not take agro. If this is a bug fix I'm a-ok with it, as it opens up a lot of other new possibilities... But I would have hoped for some hotfix notes or somesuch.Has anyone else noticed this happening? Or would be willing to test it out? Thanks!

Message Edited by CronusFateweaver on 09-17-2006 01:19 PM
