<DIV>I've recently been evaluating the stats and cost/benefits of moving from a complete set of Tranquil Dragon items, to all Relic, to all Dracomancer.   Not so much because I intend to do it that way, but b/c I want to make sure I understand the end-game, which gear to target, why, what it does for me, solo and on raids, etc.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Put simply, the move to Mastercrafted to Relic offers no INT increase, +370 power, a significant <EM>decline</EM> in total resist, some marginally usefull specialty capabilities (well, the flowing thought VIII is very nice), but the biggest marginal impact seems to be the +850 Health (derived +760 total plus stamina impact (+85 STA * 2.5)), +25 AGI, and +371 Mitigation.</DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>Put simply, the move from Relic to Dracomancer offers +33 INT (useful not b/c we need more INT, but because of marginal power increase or we can now substitute other INT items for other stat benefits), a return to approx. resists levels of full Mastercrafted (including the +WIS effects),  some additional good procs, no material marginal changes in non-INT power or total health affects, and +38 STR, but a slight decrease in total mitigation (not adjusting for any potential AGI effects, not clear to me how/if that works).  </DIV> <DIV> </DIV> <DIV>I'm not right now debating the relative cost/benefit of upgrading through these "tiers" of armor.  I'm still at the stage of quantifying the various benefits I get.  Here are my questions, and yes, I've looked elsewhere trying to get good answers for this <img src="/smilies/8a80c6485cd926be453217d59a84a888.gif" border="0" alt="SMILEY" /> (I'm not in game now, but perhapss someone just knows the answer and can post it here): </DIV> <UL> <LI>First, at lvl 70, what is the increase in HP we experience with each +1 increase in STA? </LI> <LI>Second, for each +100 in Mitigation, what (approximately) is the change in mitigation percentages for each circa +100 increase in mitigation points? </LI> <LI>Third, as a Lvl 70 Wizard, is +100 Magic on a Lvl 62 Mastercrafted item worth the same in effectiveness as +100 Magic on a Lvl 68 item? Is it perhaps wrong to compare the two numbers, given that they are derived from different levels of armor?</LI></UL> <DIV>Generally, I was surprised to note that the most significant increase moving from Mastercrafted to Relic was driven by a increase in more melee defensive qualities (hit points/mitigation), than it was by resists and/or increased capabilities. The marginal 850 HP is approximately a 20% increase in Health, but is this really worth it given the time it takes to collect relic pieces doing Labs trash runs, especially since you'd <EM>lose</EM> some resists to get the HP increase? Don't get me wrong, all else equal, I'd take the upgrade...  And does the increase in mitigation matter much, given that I probably go from 12% crushing to something as anemic as 14% crushing?</DIV> <DIV> </DIV>

<DIV>Thanks for the reply...it was 3 Health for each a STA for Brownshoe once I got in game.  I get the same relationship as you for mitigation.  The level of the armor definitely affects the effectiveness of the resist points on the armor, but I'm still unable to quantify how it works.  </DIV>
