Just trying to get a feel and hear from my fellow ratonga SKs, since we seem to be a rare breed. I'd like to learn more about my sibling rat tanks SMILEY So..What made you decide to be a rat SK?Have your group experiences been more positive or negative, due to your race?Have you actually had people turn you down because you're a rat?Have you experienced the ultimate joy of having more hps/ac than a same level tank of a different race.. after they felt compelled to state.. "Well, I'll be the Main Tank, I don't think you can do it as well as I can, as a rat"? (I have.. bwuhahaha)Most importantly, are you happy with your decision and enjoying your game time?

Right here. I've never had a problem getting a group due to my race/class(most people are surprised by the combination, though). Never had a real negative group experience yet. Most people actually say I'm one of the better tanks they've grouped with, guess because I don't suck at controlling agro.I'm very happy with my choice. I have yet to notice any major difference(compared to an Ogre or Human SK of the same level, my HP are only off by 50 or so max, and AC is the same if not better). Plus, it's fun being unique. Haven't meant another Rat SK on Antonia Bayle yet.

I'm a ratonga SK on Mistmoore. So far, I haven't had any problems at all grouping. I have yet to see another on also - so it's fun being kinda rare.

Do I count? I'm only a level 14 Ratonga Crusader at the moment.
If I remember correctly, I have yet to see another Ratonga Crusader on Toxxulia whenever I've been playing, heh. I wanted a race/class combo that was at least uncommon. As far as grouping concerns go, I've never had problems getting groups due to my race and have on more than one occasion been the main tank.
So overall, yes. I'm very happy with my decision and hopefully will remain that way when I hit 20 and beyond.
EDIT: Sorry for the previous post. Apparently IE had a spasm.

Me, me, me, me! At least will be :p
Anyhow, I made ratonga crusader mostly because in beta I played a ratonga monk. He was very cool to play and always loved tanking as small one. I went Shadowknight (or am going rather) instead of Monk for the fact that Monk would've needed to be in Qeynos and Bruiser just didn't appeal to me. Well, at least that's part of the reason. Other reason is that the monk wasn't really a good tank and I heard it would get worse later on. So I rather made a Shadowknight (other option was Berserker)
I do get weird looks every once in a while, but no "You can't tank, you're rat!". In FG a warrior ran past me. He was barbarian and level higher than me, but I still had more hp and armour. That was cool.
Of course, being a ratonga is very cool in itself AND I can throw around rat jokes with my guildies :p
I'm very happy with the decision, but sometimes I do hope I had made Barbarian Berserker instead (that mostly happens when listening to Bal-Sagoth :o)
