Here is an idea to brainstorm...

Why not design a tile or wall module that is climbable?  Granted, it may not be practical to climb a wall to the upstairs when you can just use stairs, but it will create some options...

  • Breakout houses could have a means of climbing to an outside window (great for RP or chuckles)
  • Less item count for people who use thirty items for ten stairs
  • New design features such as ladders, stone, vines, trellis
The only drawbacks I can foresee are potential graphics bugs, should a decorator choose to pitch or roll an item.  Can a character be climbing down (face first), sideways, on the floor or along the ceiling?
Regardless, it could be a fun idea to explore.
