booted to character select screen

This is a new bug in the past few days.

My illy cast his call to guild hall spell. While zoning, I got booted to character select screen. Each time I tried to load my illy, I would see the Loading screen for a few seconds, then get booted again to character select.

So from the character select screen, I loaded up my templar, which worked fine. Clicked on a bell to go somewhere, and same thing happened. Booted to character select screen, and now unable to load this toon with multiple attempts to do so.

I was able to clear the problem by closing down and restarting EQ2, and this allowed each of these stuck toons to load up. But once the bug would occur, any unstuck toon I would load up would load up just fine, but become stuck when they tried to zone anywhere.

I know this happened to at least 3 other guildees (including my wife) over the past few days.

I do not remember if the screen from which I got booted was "Connecting to Zone Server" or "Receiving Zone Information" screens, but I'm pretty sure it was one of these that I last saw before getting the Character Select screen.
