So, you want more players to battle you?  Then why run up and tap nodes they are trying to harvest to better their character so they can level up to your range?  Are you afraid that if they get some better gear they will own you?  There really is not a single reason to harvest nodes that are already being harvested by your opposition that encourages development of pvp.

Try this:  Go to the grocery store, get a basket and walk around and take things out of other shoppers' baskets.  That is the same as tapping nodes engaged by someone else that is not sharing with you.  The only reason anyone does it in a virtual world is because there is no consequences for it, in a grocery store, there is.  Now, go grief some fellow shoppers.

If someone is stealing nodes from you, then kill them! It is a PvP server, isn't it?

He might be talking about people who are out of your level range.  I've had both reds and grays mine my nodes just to try to irritate me.  Just keep mining like they're not even there.  They leave pretty quickly.

Armamenting (sp?) enemies is a bad move, America taught us that. 8P

OMG, is PvP in the lower levels that dead (after the last GU) that we have to roll back to one of the hottest discussions of the first days of EQ2?

 -Node stealing-

There isnt anything like that existing. If it was existing, they would give the option to lock the nodes, like its optional for mobs.

Any node can be harvested 3 times, so just move on and see them as 3 single nodes....or move on crying and maybe SOE will give the option to lock them SMILEY

There are at least 3 zones to harvest for each tier.. 4 or 5 in the lower tiers. If somebody moves in on an area I'm harvesting and begins node stealing, I'll let them know in a /tell that I'm happy to share the zone with them, but to please be polite when choosing nodes. This is only the case if they're the same faction of course. If they're opposite faction and within level range.. well duh.. nodes have nothing to do with it. Attack! SMILEYIf I move in on somebody else who's actively harvesting.. I'll move to a different zone and harvest there. I've been /reported several times simply because I was harvesting in the same area. While I know and he/she knows that I'm not doing anything wrong.. its just easier to avoid the hassle should there be a misunderstanding as a result of a trigger happy /reporter. SMILEY

If someone is harvesting a node I want, I kill them, then I take the node.If they are under my level, I have faster mining times.  I take the harvestables, and wait till they leave.Just like contested raid mobs or names, why would I allow an enemy to take advantage of it in peace?  These are PvP servers.

You tell channel 40-49:  L45 Champion in TS harvesting.  Not using totems.

They seem to leave after that happens...
