Good to know, I did not realize that tiny text link led to downtime notices, even though I have been visiting that page as needed for 5+ years. But the servers always show green even during downtime.

So... doesn't say anything about the servers being down. Says all the servers are up (they're not, btw). Etc SMILEY

Nice try though.

As the OP pointed out, you have to click on the text that says 'more details', and it will drop down and show you the scheduled downtime.

Ah interesting. I apologize then. I missed that part. So...

Basically what we need to do (sarcasm directed at SOE and not the people posting here) is to completely ignore that entire page with the exception of the "more details" link due to everything else....

... is WRONG SMILEY

You should not have to do that. The information presented should be more visible, and actually correct.

Agreed. Green means it's good...red means it's downtime. That would be the simple way to do it.

oddly enough that site use to work just fine, but yesterday I too noticed it claimed all the servers were up when in fact they were still undergoing a huge update.

Looks like all the servers are up. According to the SERVER STATUS PAGE. The downtime link is fine... But according to the SERVER STATUS PAGE all the work should be completed and the servers are up! AT LEAST THATS WHAT THE SERVER STATUS PAGE is indicating!

Golly no, sir. Weren't you given the memo? That server status page is simply a large pretty icon-filled table to hold the "more details" link.

That link is the only thing of any actual importance on that page. Everything else is to be considered fluff and completely ignored due to it's all 100% inaccurate.

I'm sure it must confirm what I'm saying somewhere on that page. I'm just having difficulty finding it so I can link to it atm. SMILEY

perfect message display for the status page - then no one (well maybe not) can complain

Current Status of [insert server name] is [insert status], if the status is down then estimated down time is until it comes back up

repeat 1 line per server all thy has to do is change the variable for [insert status] in the script to up or down

works in all cases
