I have no complaints about the above mentioned items. They are hard quested items and have been implemented correctly. All items are in line with the classes. Example: only certain classes can use the PGT (Like no monks or brusiers). Same with mace. GEBs is a heritage item that can be only acquired by higher levels/guilds.

The Invoker robe is not a in line item. It was exploited from the beginning thus griefing every player in the game who did not manage to loot the rock. All elite guilds (Most players are 50 by now) have a serious edge with the robe in all epic encounters. Most guilds still rising will never have this edge. As for the +20 regen tick, it is a huge advantage in any Epic encounter. I am too lazy to do the math, but I think we can all agree the advantage is big.

My suggestion is to see it from my viewpoint or someone who is just started playing EQ2.

I'm trying to see what viewpoint you are looking from. If you are joining a game 6 and a bit months after release should you expect to have items like the invoker robe just ploped into yuor lap at level 7? The only people that are being "Griefed" by this item are the people who care about it as adamantly as you, and you are the only one in this thread. I don't know why you keep bringing up your "Griefer" and "Exploiter" Comments. Are you implying that myself and Khalysta are Exploiters? Griefers? Everyone in this thread, Except you, Has said that they love the robe because a) it looks cool and b) It has mana regen on it which is your health bar in raids.

Plop in my lap? That makes no sense. Not eveyone powerlevels the game like some.

As for your statement on "griefed", I am assuming you have not seen the 20 page thread about the robe and the hundreds of people complaining about the evercamp for the robe quest. I also assume you have no clue as to why the robe quest was 'exploited" from the beginning.

Did I "imply" you or Khalysta as exploiters? No. If I did, then please quote me. The only thing I stated was several people exploited the rock quest for cash and thus causing the evercamp nerf for everyone else. I guess you are not well informed on that.

As far as the rest of your babble, I have no comment since it does not deserve one. I have made my comment and I still think the Robe should be nerfed to Mage class only. I have no envy for the robe nor will I ever wear one.

I know very well that you could sell the robes back for money when the rock was first discovered. I actually /bug'd that a few times myself. as far as the 'nerf to mages only' thing goes if you want class specific armor go play WoW. I can't see it ever happening here.

Typical response: "Go play Wow". Can you even think something better than that? Do me a favor and don't reply if you cannot make a mature comment. Since you have all this time, why don't you add more pathethic troll images to all my posts. It just shows you cannot even argue a subject.

I need to know the name of the quest for the Robe of the Invoker, because I need to get started on it. I talked to a friend who did it and he said a mob that he had to camp took him 350 hours. So, needless to say i need to get started ASAP. I just need to know the name of the quest. And also the npc starter.

the starter is a tattered robe which is a very rare drop off of mobs.  Some friends of mine have still gotten it off the rock in feerott recently but its extremely rare to find the rock active.

Moving from reality to fantasy.   There are very legendary forms of chain mail armor.  Chain mail is the prefered armor worn by just about every elf in the fantasy world,  especially rangers.   Elven chain mail is so finely crafted that it is quieter then the finest silk robes money can buy.   Going even one step up,  Dwarven mythrial chain mail is so legendary even mice want to get their hands on it.   To give a couple well known examples,   Drizzt from the R.A. Salvator novels wears Dwarven mythrial chain mail.  IF your not into reading great fantsay novels,   i'm sure the millions of you that watched The lord of the Rings are fimiliar  with the White Dwarven mythrial chainmail shirt Froto recieved from his unlce bilbo.  So you see with just those two examples alone you can see how silent chainmail can be.

This really highlights what the game is missing.

Specialised Chain mails.

Elven chain (or dark elf equivalent from D&D) and other racial style armours aren't in game that might provide some logical solution.

In D&D (as well as other old skool RPG's) the default armour for a rogue was always LIGHT (ie Leather), and you took a stealth skill penalty in exchange for higher protections afforded to Medium armour, unless you could find the nice rare items.

In almost ALL RPG's though, Agility (or Dexterity) wasn't nerfed to the floor and provided actual good avoidance to the incoming damage, unlike in EQ2.

Sadly though, on topof the Agi Nerf comes the next wave of nerfs where they start cutting down on our avoidance even more than they have already if we are wearing Medium armour.

I'd much prefer the studded leather armour look than a chain one (ala Thieves World artwork - RPG and novels by Robert Asprin and others) and especially if it allowed for the Agi based avoidance it so should.
